I'd like to know what happened last season that ruled him out for a timeframe normally reserved for cruciate ligaments or broken legs, otherwise I wouldn't sign the lad in a million years.

 

Surely if he was solid at right-back, they wouldn’t be playing him anywhere else? And as you pointed out yourself, “Threlkeld is not primarily a MF. He has over double the amount of appearences in DF”. So I think that answers your suggestion that he could be a solid midfielder.

Was he a regular in either position for Salford last season? I’d suggest starting just 28 games (61%) indicates he isn’t solid in either position, but can do an admirable job when asked

 

I don’t necessarily agree it’s denial of any type. They are just too impatient for confirmation I suppose?

Some Hartlepool fans reckon their top scorer last season Rhys Oates is on his way here. Although Adams released him at Morecambe though only 12 months ago, maybe he has been keeping tabs on him?

If already living and working in UK I don’t believe so . They may have to “register”, however?

Madness but hey as long as it’s a paper exercise out of Gov control they should complete it pretty quickly I hope.
