    Considering Peterborough paid £650,000 for him then I I very seriously doubt he was offered to us at any price without at least five noughts.

    He had about 4/5 loan spells before they signed him. It was just before his spell at Scunthorpe. We had just taken Gilliead I believe so we were in conversations with them.

    I said loan spells, but feel free to expand the parameters to before he was even at Newcastle, and miss out his two spells at Scunthorpe plus his loan at Wigan if it makes you feel better. On his loans at Barnsley/ Shrewsbury/ Wigan/ Scunthorpe, which were immediately prior to Newcastle selling him to Peterborough for £650,000 he scored 25 in 85 games including a promotion at Barnsley and a playoff semi at Scunthorpe.

    Like I said originally - we were offered him before his Scunthorpe loan spell and those were his vital statistics so a) he wasnt going for £650k and b) he wasnt a 1 in 3 striker.

    Next time, read what I say and comprehend.
