I agree. There are a couple of clues in the offer. The monthly cost is spread evenly in rounded values (hence some of the odd looking annual figures) and over 12 months (extending it beyond the 21/22 season) unlike previous financing alternatives in earlier seasons. Those factors will make it relatively easy to extend and rollover the arrangements fo following seasons especially once the DD is open ended.

It makes a lot of sense from the club's perspective. I can't imagine it will be implemented fully until an automatic entry system has also been installed to catch those who cancel their subscription during or after the season.

I think people might be put off by other things, but would hope not so by the cost.
Pricing wise and payment wise you would think it’s pretty reasonable!

Interesting. I'd like to understand what will happen if come August there are still capacity restrictions at sports grounds and our ST sales exceed that limit.

It would be a difficult one to calculate how many may not have renewed because of an increase which is minimal, against what we have been through these last 12/14 months lets hope the adrenaline kicks in after watching the accompanying video.
Watching the last few games, with fans in the ground has been a delight.

Like I said ages ago it won't make hardly any difference. The ones we lose wouldn't have signed back up at any price. You show me a fan that would sign back up at £150 and I'll show you the very same fan signing up for £200

Bang on. The thing stopping anyone going back was never the price it was the piss poor product on offer. I wouldn't have paid at £100 a ticket to watch a club with no ambition to move forward. Thank goodness Sparks understands this.

This is the key thing isn't it. Think it was @StaffordBantam@StaffordBantam who said currently we are roughly only allowed 5k fans in.

The wiseman will wait until the last minute to get a season ticket to see what is happening in the country when it comes to capacity restrictions but no club as we stand today can be confident that at the start of the season that full crowds can happen when at Man Utd which is a 72k stadium are only allowed 10k fans in.

Decent package and good to see the remaining 25 yearers are being rewarded for loyalty again. Renewal on its way as soon as we announce that Steve The Groper Evans WON'T be manager

And he talked this week in his interview about a reconnect between the club, its players and fans. This as well as product is very important and today he continues with the drive to reconnect.

Like I said further up, I like the promo video and draw again references to the part of the video which covers up a "Rahic out" sticker with "take me home" sticker (bloody vandal that old bloke!!!)

A subliminal message in my eyes for the club to move forwards. That includes the reconnect with fans, which was hugely lost during the Rahic era, possibly one of the "greatest" legacies of his tenure.

I take it he's not one of us - he's pouring himself a cup of tea instead of a beer! Also walks straight past Keith without popping in for a pint.
Very nice video, but my OCD is in overdrive due to the positioning of his telly, and the way he sticks that sticker on the lampost!

We have had poor seasons fir a long time and every season sales have defied expectations and as you say that us not because of what’s on offer it’s because it’s a cheap Saturday family day out.
I think the price is fair enough and from a personal point of view I would have paid whatever they charge. I still think the price increase will put some off. Bearing in mind we sold 9000 last season under those circumstances I estimated we would be close to 10000 this I now think it will be around 8000.

May have been addressed here already but when he was talking about Amazon etc. I believe he was talking about in the future if / when we move to automated turnstiles and a digital season ticket. This would allow the club to deactivate your season pass if you decide to end your subscription.

I would have thought if they go down this line they'll have three options, buy your season ticket outright, buy a season ticket on interest free dd (but you are tied in to the full season), or pay a higher price monthly subscription that you can opt in an out of.

The 5k (possibly 5.5k) figure would be the maximium number of paying spectators under the current rules; I expect that to increase to at least 10k by the time of the first league match, which I suspect will be enough to accommodate every season ticket holder.

I fully intend to purchase my season ticket next week.

I think you need to have a word with your mate who's in the hot seat at VP. He clearly doesn't understand that it's not a subscription. He must have mistakenly referred to it as a 'subscription' on the club's website and then repeating his mistake when he called it a 'subscription' on the marketing blurb sent out in the email to most City fans. Fancy him not knowing what he's trying to sell to us all! ;)
