I know it’s not like every other club is going through it, just like it’s not as though other clubs such as Coventry, Blackpool and Charlton have had terrible owners but still find themselves way ahead of us. Only difference being they had fan boycotts and one even lost their stadium but none ended bottom half of league 2. Loves a good excuse.

Facts are Rhodes and Lawn sold the club stating Rupp & Edin they can take the club forward. Well Rupp has taken us backwards and done nothing Rhodes & Lawn couldn't do.

We don't need excuses now. We need action because we all know this club is failing! Sparks needs to prove him and show hes in touch with the fans because the fans want T & S out plus vast off the pitch improvements.

 

Didn't we throw our hat into the ring for the "City of Culture" 2013 and got nowhere, since then this City has had a major decline in almost all areas,

Our past involvement into the Capital of Culture brought little success what has improved since our last involvement, serious question.

 

I'm hoping you guys aren't suggesting we may not have a club to support, take the Richmond days out of our history and whats changed, I'm not suggesting we shouldn't be ambitious but that has to start at the top with like minded people seeing what can be achieved with a plan.

I don't know what talks have been ongoing since Ryan took over but what we do know is it wont be a situation going forward where Stefan will be chucking money at the club.

Talk about a very good relationship with Leeds United which suggests possible loans, yet commenting we need bringing more of our own young players through, being more self sustaining financially, but as yet no clear statements from the club that season 2021/22 has to be a promotion season.

 

So I must have missed it.

I seem to remember Sparks mentioning the club had to raise its own funds, as nothing will be coming from Rupp. With this in mind, we can’t afford to be cancelling contracts and wasting money. We need to use it wisely or they’ll be another cost cutting session around the corner.

 

Just for once instead of giving us the diagnosis give us the cure and not pie in the sky stuff. Tell us where the money is coming from given that the present owner is going to run it as a viable business not a charity...
There isn’t one person who wouldn’t welcome major investment in the club it isn’t going to happen either with the present set up or under new ownership.
What has to happen is what is starting to happen now I hope and that is better use of the money we do have. That means better and more consistent recruitment better fitness and conditioning a better supply of young players coming through and a more consistent and stuck to identity.
Of the field we need the right people to increase revenue and to reduce non productive cost. Sparks has said that Rupp will put money in on things that will benefit the club in the long term and that should be the right staff

 

That's not true about we can't afford to be cancelling contracts because we are hiring more people which is the correct thing to do.

It will cost us more in the long run giving managers that we know that take us anyway and waste a transfer window when we can get the manager in we really want to give us the best chance in going up.

 

As I repeat Rhodes sold the club to Rupp because he could take us forward. Now if Rupp decides not to do that then that's up to him but running a football club as a viable business is an excuse because owning a football club to is a loss making business.

You only need to look at Man Utd fans today kicking off because their owners are not caring about the club. Rupp has done nothing to show he cares about the club. Nothing!

Honestly, I don't care what Sparks says like what Rhodes said before him. Its what Rupp says that counts and he says nothing which is the problem.

Not at all Dennis, we are on the improvement road now. When Rahic jumped ship in November 2018 we were in L1. That is almost 2 1/2 yard ago. If we don't go up this time but next season that will be 3 1/2 years, then another season ( if we do it immediately) to get promotion from L1 or in the play offs, that's 4 1/2 years. QED?

Back up why it will take 5 years? The why's have never been backed up.

Bolton were in a bigger mess and it seems like it will take them 1 year.
