T&S..... sacked

That's right. The bad run started at a game we were winning easily even tho' we had only scored one goal. At Newport, we sat back, playing one up front when they were there for the taking. It worked well as what has happened since. After the post match interview following the Tranmere game, I no longer listen to what they have to say.

 

Parkinson knows how to get out of L2 and probably consolidate in L1, beyond that debatable. If he wants to come back with Rupp still at the helm that`s his personal decision. He`s one of few that stand out. Players would be fitter with Allenby on board no doubt and Parky would instill discipline.

 

Don't beat Scunthorpe and they will be gone, or maybe back to youth team football.

Scunthorpe have only managed 1 win in 14, that was against us of course. Scunny fan I know reckons it's the worst Scunny team of all time, or at least his time

 

Should be a great game.

 

Honestly mate I don't see what difference the next two games make.

1) Scunny are poor.
2) Morecambe will be thinking about the play offs.

I think Sparks needs to make a decision now.

 

I was thinking this. In a way its disrespectful to be talking to other managers whilst you've still got someone in the post, but its football and happens all the time. So I hope that its what Sparks is currently doing as he needs to be prepared to make a swift decision on T&S and their successor at the earliest opportunity. We can't have the uncertainty dragging on into the summer.

 

Parkinson's history at City. I was stalled at his style of football by the time he left. Similarly disliked by the fans at both Bolton and Sunderland.

 

I don't buy this style of football argument, at this level most football is crap. I can't remember the last time I saw a team at this level who were playing really good football of any kind.

What I think we should expect is playing on the front foot, whatever the formation, it wasn't pretty at times, but when Parkinson had a team capable of playing that way we usually did.

I don't think there is a cat in hells chance of him coming back, but I'd welcome him with open arms.

 

Agreed and I think most do, entertainment isn’t about playing like Man City and passing teams to death tikka taka it’s about action in both boxes. Nobody cares about watching a team pass around the box we just want to see more intensity and chances created for some reasonable excitement.

 

Unless my memory is playing tricks, wasn't that the only match they started with Cook & Rowe playing and took both off at one nil to defend a lead, bringing on the Don ?

I admit I was wrong wanting a longer contract than until keeping them as interim until the end of this season. I would imagine Ryan Sparks knows he was wrong too.

I hope we can persuade them to stand down and retreat back to the youth team, or have their previous roles been taken now permanently?

Think we need a re-start as soon as possible now.

I would like to see whether we could persuade Derek Adams or Richie Wellans to take the reins.

All the senior out of contract players should be released Nd we need to recruit leaders and better players than we will be releasing.

Something needs to be done because I now think T&S are out of their depth and are already alienating fans.

 

T&S and Parkinson both play shit football. The only difference being with Parkinson it actually works

 

He also uses his squad to the best of his ability. We brought in 9 players over the winter window an half of em don’t even play

 

It didn’t work in his first season until he brought I his own players. It will be the same with T&S

 

Do people imagine Sparks doesn’t read these columns? Reading the comments now, many by regular “sensible” posters and he WILL be having kittens. His brief from the owner will be based on YOU WILL SELL x number of season tickets.
That’s what will keep him awake and that’s why I believe he will move for a new ( One! not a duet) manager. Imho.

 

I don’t think they will get the opportunity. Sadly it’s not worked. I’m struggling see any win until the seasons end tbh.

 

So how will this new recruitment structure work with any prospective new manager? Will Turnbull provide a list of possible acquisitions and the manager will have the final say. Or will that part of the job now be out of the coach's remit?

I can see two total mangerial novices like T&S accepting that kind of arrangement.But not someone with more experience and ideas about players they want or don't want and style of play. Will Turnbull now be part of the hunt for a new boss as well?

 

It may cost money but Adams would be a major boost to the club and ST sales, If they miss out on promotion we should be in there for him,
