Danny Rowe - The New Charlie Wyke - now with poll

Because he doesn’t deserve a place. He hasn’t shown it when playing and mustn’t have shown it in training either

 

Think of it from his perspective. Two must win games, losing both and he stays on the bench for both. I'd know there and then that the managers either didn't rate me or know how to use me. More fool Trueman for being surprised he wants out.

 

Very odd goings on. I would very much hope we’re not doing the usual city nonsense and paying him to play elsewhere.
I hope we got the paid fee back. Could bite T&S in the Arris If goals dry up or we have injuries and he’s banging them in for chesterfield

 

Probably unused because this deal was in the making and they didn’t want him injured.

At least we’re offloading now and not waiting until the end of the season. We’ll probably never know his thoughts as he doesn’t seem the type to spill the beans.

 

Whether you rated him or not, this deal undermines the credibility that the club built up in January. To ship out arguably your most high profile capture after only 3 months is not a good look and is no different to what has become the norm over the last few years.

Its not a good look for T&S, Turnbull or Sparks.

 

Asks the question then if he doesn’t fit after such a short period, why was he signed in the first place? If Turnbull is the future, two of the three strikers he’s signed haven’t been a success.

 

If he is on his way then the best of luck to him.Its obvious T&S have there favourites,Clarke/Evans,who would always get picked ahead of him,no matter how badly they played,so he is better off out of it.If Mansfield take Cook back,we are left with no genuine strikers in contract for next season.

 

I wouldn't blame Rowe if he goes when a cr@p player like Billy Clarke gets in the team before him

He was on fire when he started here, and we witnessed what he was capable of.

We never got the best of him due to the joint managers coming up with stupid formations every week

Because instead of bringing him on when we needed a goal the managers decided to throw Paudie up front instead.

I don't blame him one bit for wanting to leave.

 

There's a reason why he's heading back to non-league and never got above mid table league 2. He's a great finisher, but you need more than that, even in league 2.

 

And I don’t blame them for ridden themselves of a player who seems to have a bad attitude

 

What evidence have you got for that?

Ok,show me an example of his "bad attitude".

 

Its a bit of a strange episode but I can't say I'm too fussed. He's clearly got something about him but he's also looked way off at points as well (i.e. Walsall Away) and I'd say Cook & Novak offer more. 12 goals in 43 league appearances for us and Oldham so hasn't exactly fired consistently since making the step up to the football league.

Does set things up for another summer searching around for a striker though...
