    What I like about Sparks the most is, he's a realist. He seems to fully understand where we've been - and where we are currently at. Haven't heard much bullshit from him thus far. The big question he has to tackle of course, is where are we going?

    I know a few of our senior supporters who are having second thoughts on coming back to vp
    They have been safe in there own bubble watching on i follow
    Cold wet winter Saturdays & Tuesdays they have not missed one bit
    The risk of catching covid is also a worry
    I would not like to guess how many senior supporters we would lose

    I fear, even at £149 season ticket sales on the back of Covid, product, Rupp, ifollow and illegal ifollow will be around 8k, possibly even less.

    Here's an oldie who's full of vaccine who can't wait for the return of live football, I can understand others may have a different point of view, unfortunately this bast*rd Covid has curtailed my lifestyle for well over 12 months once that flag goes down and we fans are allowed back in I'll be there enjoying every minute.

    We ain't attracting any new fans any time soon

    So might as well put prices up a few quid and get some quality in

    If you want to see some decent players and get out of this shit league we're gunna have to stump up

    What if the owner says hell match the extra £50 per ticket and put the dosh towards the budget to get folk onside

    What's £50 for God's sake... let's stump up and get promoted next season

    I don't think I can handle many more miss placed passes and negative football

    I'm all for that. Because if its just the same case again of mediocre mid table football i'm not interested in the slightest. If that extra revenue helps make the difference then get them put up.

    Ryan attended the Supporters' Trust AGM this evening, for a Q&A session.

    He was clear that he does not see the need for a Director of Football, but he was equally clear that there are certain functions which have just not been anywhere good enough. In particular, he singled out lack of fitness and conditioning and it is in this area that we can expect some big changes in the summer. It also seems we are just about the only League Two club that does not do GPS tracking of its players and the detailed information that this provides.

    He also mentioned the high rental that the Club pays for both Valley Parade and the training ground, which amounts to around a third of our ticket income.

    He also covered player budgets and gave some very interesting comparison figures ranging from Morecambe's £1.1m through to some £5m + budgets at clubs like Salford. Our player spend this season is in the region of £2.3m, but this will ease considerably with the departure of some high earners at the end of this season.

    Regarding departures, it looks like 12 players are on the way out and we are currently tracking around 50 players as potential recruits.

    Pre-season will see the Club head north, although an expected match is likely to be a behind closed doors affair.
