And guess why? Two of our more influential midfielders - Cooke and Sutton - are injured and weren't available for today's game!

    Our squad isn't good enough.

Certainly not if Cooke and Sutton are our shinning lights.

    Been bottom half all season.

We need to understand where we are at to improve.

Counting on Cooke and Sutton is for me highlights how poor the squad really is.

Personally I think that's a bit harsh Cooke pre injury in the form he was in would walk into most teams in this division and probably league 1 and Sutton looks a different player compared to how he was at the beginning of the season.

We do need to improve, I agree. The summer has to be about quality and not just rhetoric

Do you need to be so pessimistic after 4-1 win against a side in the top 5. We’re lacking in a few areas but that was a decent performance today. Let’s hope we keep the run going and sneak in the last play off place.

Key thought here Dubois - 'the teams that keep their nerve will get there'. After T&S's mini dip after such a great run of a start, we're on back to back wins - six goals scored, two conceded. The squad will be really up from this and the managers did a great job tactically against Colchester and now FRG. Maybe it's on!

Yeah we scored 4 and hit the bar against a top 5 team today without Cooke or Sutton. Definitely highlights how poor the squad really is.

As for league position-well you know its where we finish that really counts.

Fordy, you sound just like my grumpy old Grandad. Yesterday, I told him we were in for a really sunny warm day. His reply...Maybe. But tomorrow's going to be a lot lot colder. Enjoy the day, Fordy. Enjoy the day!

Rowes shot was deflected in by their whinging and moaning no5-there is a karma after all. Maybe that was why Rowe didn't react-though he should have at least have had a wry smile.

And was it him that potentially toe poked the second goal in when sliding in to the tackle-though it looked like Cook had hit it but its quite unclear seeing the goal back again.

You are right about us needing more quality in midfield Fordy and that has to be a priority for next season but a bit of credit where it's due mate. AOC has been asked to go into midfield and although he's a bit limited he's given a good go. From where we were when Trueman and Sellers took over if we make the play-offs it will be a good effort.
For all their possession FGR would have done better if they had used old fashioned Div 4 tactics and just put crosses into the box (near to ROD), instead of trying to pass it through us.

He looks so slow but actually isn’t. It’s quite a skill in itself.

Agree on AOC. Been an 'unsung hero' over the last two games and has solidified the centre of the park

That would have been one he'll of a goal from Cook.
