First signing of the summer for me (was very surprised to see people thorugh the week suggesting the wouldn't want him!) - was disappointed to hear in the commentary Mansfield have an option in their favour, hopefully it's not true or Cook forces the move through either way

He'll stay if he wants to and if we want him and I can't see why he wouldn't want to stay (unless a higher club comes in) and why wouldn't we want him?!!

 

Great game today. Forest Green looked a decent side going forward but lamentable at the back. We took our chances very well which was a refreshing change. The key changes leading to our upturn in form are the introduction of AOC and Donaldson into midfield and that's down to our managers, so well done to them. They've refreshed my faith in them. We now enter the crazy result phase of the season when anything can happen, especially in league 2. The teams that keep their nerve will get there. Despite my continuing doubts, it's all to play for, and it's happened for us in the past.

 

Fairly confident he'll be here next year but that's based on nothing but guesswork really... time will tell! We'd be mad not to sign him given the chance, whichever league we're in

It was only last season that nobody before in the history of football and/or conceivably in the future of the sport would ever LOAN OUT a goalscoring striker to a team in the SAME DIVISION!!

It's actually better than it used to be in that not many teams just lump it into the box anymore. A lot of teams now try to play it from the back with a passing game. There are so many jonny foreigners in the Premier League and even the Championship that a lot of home grown players have drifted down the league's so there is no way it is shite.
It is the bottom division and we shouldn't be in it so from that point of view some people are going to call it shite so I suppose it is fair comment but unfair.

 

I tell you what feels nice after today’s game...........we really feel like the Bradford City I know and love. However this season ends it’s just so good to feel some life and excitement within the club again.

 

Take and agree with all of your points Park - except one for me that's been a bugbear for a while. To wit, we're not in the lowest professional league. The National League sides below us are all professional - except for a very few of the smaller clubs around the bottom, they all have full time players. So that should be our League Three and named and updated as such. It's a disrespect to call it non-league football and should be changed.

He's quicker and more mobile than some give him credit for. We've seen him in similar positions a few times this season and it usually ends up with him at least getting his shot away.

Not all the centre halves can be cart horses so he must have at least a reasonable turn of pace.

 

I think it's good we're playing teams around us because we have that issue where we're more set up to do well against teams who try to have more of the ball and we do it exceptionally well but struggle when teams set up the same way against us, we had the same issue most of the time under Parky too... for me the less games against 'easy' oppostiion for the rest of the season the better!

 

I did say football league but I agree with your comments about league three

Now there's a thing, mate. Does @River_City_Bantam - bless him in excelsis - have any stats on Forest Green Rovers and free kicks, penalties and cards for and against them? Because my perception is similar to yours - that they 'seem' to get a lot more going their way, despite being a pretty dirty side.
