    As I understood early season Doyle is on £5k p.w. plus £1k a game appearance plus £500 per goal. Sarvevic on £4k+ p.w., from a source close to Bolton, thought it was reliable at the time, Manchester paper may be correcting my info.

    I know they were signing players in the national league from under the noses of league one and two clubs. And this year there were lots of clubs after Henderson and Clarke and I am sure they didn’t sign for them because of their ground or fans

    Yes. However players salary, who signed Contracts before the start of this season, only count as the average. So if Salford had say four players on that average sum, and the mysterious £10,000 a week, it would have bitten into their salary pot. I used that as an illustration, that the talk of players being on such high amounts, seems to be pure fantasy.

    That list of club salaries that someone posted on here a few weeks ago. I looked at them all individually, can't remeber his name, sorry, but it was definately someone at Salford. Henderson was on £4,600 per week I can remember that !

    There never has been nor will there be again a season like this one. Maybe they should scrap it and start from scratch in August. What have the national league decided to do.

    I think the £10,000 a week player @Park bantam@Park bantam is referring to was someone they signed when the were in the National League. I think he was a player from the SPL(?). I can't remember the details other than he was getting paid a sh!t load to play for them. More than he would have got if he's stayed in the SPL.

    They have. And they have had the lamps on the pitch and heaters blowing air under the covers. I don't think the club could have done much else - we live the other side of town but its still been so cold the snow that fell days ago is still lingering in the gardens. It just hasn't warmed up enough unfortunately.
