It does, imagination running wild now. Is there the slightest chance Stefan will sell up? Have any clubs whose owners want to stay in football(who may see us as potential improvers) been sold in the last couple of years? Pure conjecture on my part but stranger things happen out there and IF we do change hands, we want no more chancers.

Do you know I didn't pick up on that initially. But yes, he certainly implies he may not be here. For anybody wanting to pick up this specific comments, watch from 9 mins 30

Yeah absolutely, @parader123@parader123 is spot on.

Sparks says "I might not see much success," adding "but in the very near future someone else might", having already made mention of "long after I'm gone".

Interesting comments, he doesn't have to make them, they're almost unnecessary, but I guess he's being honest.

For me, I hope that signals a buy out and his inevitable removal from the CEO position, rather than him simply being ambitious and wanting to move to Burnley or Leeds or Huddersfield.

I didn't interpret it in that way. I thought he was saying that the foundations that are being laid now. Will mean that cumulative gains can then be made in the future. That the club won't be consistently having to start from scratch when changes in personnel are made. That they're trying to not become reliant on one person, like they were under Parkinson, any longer.

Been my thoughts for a bit that he’s actually an interim CEO, and the reason for that and that T&S are interim managers is a takeover is lined up.

I would be delighted to end this horrific Rupp regime.

Nothing but failure from start to finish.

I would be sorry to see Trueman and Sellars go now to be honest.

The directors that actually left Burnley are Barry Kilby, Clive Holt, Brendan Flood, Brian Nelson, and Terry Crabb.

I'd be delighted if Kilby were to come in. He was Chairman until a personal battle with prostate cancer, then returned as Vice Chairman.

I don't know if he would lead an acquisition at 70+ though? Don't know a lot about the others, but if they have a bit of capital, let's go.

They shouldn't be leaving the club after the job they've done. Hopefully we would find roles for them if we were taken over.

It would be shame to go in another direction when things are being put right we don’t want to go back to the old norm. I am enjoying watching the young and fresh management

We're only going to get so far with the current set up.

Burnley have been an extremely well run club in the past 15 years or so, and the focus on being sustainable would certainly make sense if Rupp is looking to get out - and let's be honest, there's not one single reason for him to stay. He is not liked, wanted or admired. Obviously the City fan base has a debt of gratitude for stemming the dismal tide that Rahic created, but all the losses he's made are entirely of his own creation.

What we’re doing now, is what we all wanted 4 years ago. If Rupp continues in this vein I’d be happy for him to stay in background. I don’t think we’re ready for more upheaval and losing Sparks, Trueman and Sellars, after the massive improvements we’ve made would be an absolute travesty and prove to be the end for some fans. That is unless the new owner has already sanctioned the signings and is happy to leave as is.

Easier to attract people if there's a long term plan.

The window did look a bit too good to be true, and full credit would still go to the team, but if you're talking grand plans it's probably an easier sell than "Sparks used to run the Twitter for the Bulls, and Trueman was playing for Thackley in October 2020. Please sign."

Shocked you know it's Saturday in a few days. You work so short term in your brain.

Sparks will leave. He's 29 and ambitious. No way will he be staying around for much longer.

Bradford City could no doubt be set up for a takeover and I hope that happens.

As for the managers currently, it might seem strange but we need to see how they cope with the bad times. You only need to look at Bournemouth to understand this. Manager sacked new to management but couldn't turn round defeats.

that doesn't change what he said in the short interview. The last few weeks have brought up quite a few questions. Think about Stefan's attitude and consider leopards and spots.
