Sparks also said we wouldn't let Vaughan go to a rival without significant compensation. If he's willing to sign, get it done now and avoid the risk of his head being turned by any late bids.

But we haven't. We have to understand where we are at.

Peterborough themselves sold their biggest talent in the summer and are due to sell others.
You don't need to have a master in finance to understand Bradford City are cutting costs. Hiring Sparks(cheaper), the signings we have made (Not big names). Covid would have hit us hard.

Considering the club has failed this year then we need to rebuild. Staunton has potential but that's it. Still question marks over him and if a club comes in with a decent offer then in my mind at this moment we would be foolish not to sell. Crawley just sold their leading goalscorer and they are near the play offs.

We've gone so backwards this season that it might take us 2-3 seasons to get out of this division now. We have messed up so badly since going down.

I want Staunton to stay but I fully understand if we sold him.

You regularly moan about our lack of ambition and winning mentality (rightly), but you have no problem with selling our best young player after he's played a handful of games?

Staunton shows plenty of promise but surely his unfortunate injury scuppers any chance of him moving this month?

I'd rather we kept Staunton but if there's any lower league side I'd be happy to sell a promising youngster to it'd be Peterborough. They have a canny ability to sell for mega bucks so any sell on we negotiate with the deal will see us benefit, possibly even two-fold

Yes, I do moan about the lack of ambition but he has played a handful of games for us.

Unfortunately, I don't see Rupp being interested in the club moving forward. We will generated money but doing the following:

Tie down any potential to a new contract quickly and then sell them. For me this is clear what the club is doing.

I've lost all faith in this club having ambition mate.

It might be what they're doing, but it doesn't mean we have to agree with it. Initial fee would have to be £500K, same again for promotion, and a 15% sell on. Minimum. Anything less isn't worth it.

Ive seen more ambition and forward thinking since Sparks became CEO, than anytime in the last decade. You’ve asked for most of what’s in place (granted the new training facility and ground ownership might take a bit longer) therefore I don’t understand your pessimism. The window appears to be going well but as always, the proof is in the pudding.

As for selling to Peterborough (if that’s true) we have to be very careful. The owner and Fry are two proper Arthur Daley characters who are used to getting the best out of any deal. With Sparks being wet behind the ears they might see it as a perfect opportunity to strike.

Building up expectations was down to him "salesman hat" and then fans feeling let down - is - he was in charge of communications.

I wouldn't sell at all, he's tied into a lengthy contract so why should we? It's not as if we can put it back into the budget with the cap either.

Darragh McAnthony is no longer the controlling interest.

Tell us more the very mention of the name Darragh McAnthony has some doing back flips, all that money he/the club have had over the years and there still a league one team.

As I understand it Broncs, he has sold 51% to some foreign group, possibly Canadian. I believe there are plans for a new stadium ( been ongoing for some time) and new training facilities linked to an education establishment (and some rubbish Woodhouse Grove). Think all Tia widely reported in the local paper down there. Long and short Darragh may not be pulling as many strings as before.
