It has always annoyed me that some fans slag Clayton for effort. For me, he's a good pro who does the best he can. Yes, we signed him past his best years and his force is declining. But never knock him for effort. He still puts himself about as much as his body can cope with, and he still reads the game well. Novak and Clarke will particularly appreciate what he does for them.

 

No guarantees with new signings but hopefully will prove to be a good one at our level in particular you could question every single transfer (and some will ) but to me it looks like the clubs new structure since late last year has started to pay off, at least it looks like there are results coming from the planning. Keep it up City

Completely agree, he's a decent player. I also think he is the best fit RB we currently have, although its not his best position. We now have some good competition / cover at the back

I do however worry that the rumour that Peterborough are after Staunton has legs, he's going to struggle to get game time now.
Really hope he stays as he has a lot of promise, however if he does go there has been a marked improvement in our transfer business by getting someone like Canavan in early.
