Hopefully a few mutual consent tweets from the club tomorrow. Not in a month of Sunday's are clubs going to want BRE, Guthrie and DMH.

He’s simply just not a football league player! You know he ll sign for someone in summer and turn into another Doyle situation though

Latest name rumoured to be interesting Bradford City is Jamie Gullan who plays as a striker for Scottish Premiership club Hibernian. Gullan has previously had loan spells with Gala Fairydean Rovers, Queen's Park and Raith Rovers.
    Never heard of him.

    Nicknamed 'Hammer' apparently!

Strange nickname for a guy that is supposedly 5'5 and fast - though apparently an extremely hard worker.

Is the article in the T&A another Keifer Moore? Edmondson would be a shrewd addition, even if it is a loan.

I'm struggling to see how this would be a realistic target for us if Aberdeen want him back and League one clubs are interested.

Well it's not really like Kieffer Moore.

Moore was a few things: we couldn't afford the required fee, and just made up a lower offer that was never going to be accepted, we couldn't afford his wages either. I think a lot of people cottoned on that Rahic didn't understand the game or the economics at that point. That he didn't factor in that the team he assembled was an utter disaster and ridiculously expensive for what it was, and the writing was on the wall.

An ambitious loan bid for a player from our neighbours, whose success is predictably helping us out, might well fail; but there's no parallel to Kieffer Moore.

I think you've taken my point and ran with it a little... The similarity being we are competing with Aberdeen who are an SPL club just like at the time we couldn't compete with Mooores suitors... I would say that is a little similar.

Well actually we're not competing with Aberdeen.

    https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/ryan-edmondson-leeds-united-aberdeen-19599628

We're competing with other EFL clubs, but we're not competing with them.

    Bad info.

Edmondson was getting an average of 6 minutes per game in his last 7 outings for Aberdeen.

It's a 'thanks, but no thanks' from their point of view.

Aberdeen are NOT in pole position.

They're not interested full stop - I know that for pretty much a fact.

Whoever we're competing with, we're not going to be favourites to land him. Hopefully our 'links' to Leeds give us a helping hand.

Its pleasing that we're apparently in for a talented, sought after player. I just hope we have other targets lined up as alternatives, we can't wait around for a long time and end up signing someone in a panic in the last knockings of the window.

Edmondson is out of contract in summer and is struggling for game time. Aberdeen want to extend his loan but the ball is in Leeds’ court.

It’s difficult for their scouts to assess whether he should be kept on in the summer when he’s sat on Aberdeen’s bench.

For the likelihood of a start here - and the purposes of killing three birds with one stone (they will already have staff here to watch Hosannah and Stevens), a loan here, on their doorstep makes more sense.

Leagues 1 and 2 are comparable to the majority of SPL too - we know from the likes of Daley and Ramsden heading up there after leaving us. So its not a massive class drop on Leeds’ part to send him here.

Given the ambitions that Leeds have, I'd be surprised if he's featuring significantly on their 1st team roadmap. I'd imagine that any decision on his next loan move will be driven by what the lad himself see's as the best step to lead into a contract offer elsewhere in the summer.

Yeah, fair enough. The fact he’s yet to sign there - and who could blame him - suggests he’s open to a move.

I think this is a realistic one for us to pursue. With four old Leeds boys on our books and young coaches who excel with academy prospects, it seems, we must have a good chance of landing him, unless someone struggling in League 1 is willing to take a chance.

Edmondson's name as been linked to a City move on a few occasions.
The very fact other players from his parent club are with us at present gives a glimmer of hope regarding a move on loan till the end of the season.
We are in the market for a striker, he's local and can readily speak to people already at the club if he's not sure.
The only reservation I have is of course any other perspective clubs higher up the football pyramid who may be after acquiring his service's.
Personally I think he would be a good fit but it's far from been nailed on.

If we help with the development of our Leeds loans (but not at the detriment of our kids) the Elland Road mob could be an excellent supply of young talent going forward, a link up with our neighbours could be an excellent move.
I said that because we have resently brought Alan Nevison back to Valley Parade from Leeds United ?.
