Im not sure how you can say we’re doing things on the cheap when -

A) You don’t know who the new guy is (yet) and B) you don’t have the details of what’s been offered.

I agree with some of your recent observations but so far, Sparks has identified what needs to done and is going about his business. The results and performances have improved 10 fold and there’s a positivity about the club at the moment. I don’t get your constant chipping away.

Let’s see who it is first and what the club tell us about his remit.

Simon Grayson sticking his ore in today in an article in the Football League Paper. He is basically warning off any potential new manager from taking the role, saying that there is something not right about our club, and it is not as attractive role as it should be for a big club likes ours. He goes on to say that the expectation of the fan base can be too daunting for a new manager. Bitter or what.

 

He is a whinger but I do think he has a point with the expectations the new manager won’t get long for sure

Whatever your personal thoughts on Grayson, maybe what he says has substance?

 

8 seasons in 14 seasons in league 2. expectations do need to change. We aren't a big club, we have cheap season tickets and fluked to be in the prem for 2 seasons. take that out, we are tiny

 

Appoint a good manager and we will come out the other side. Always the same at any club at this level. This defeatist attitude of still blaming Rahic that some have and blaming Rupp for being non existent is very frustrating. We use it as an excuse all the time and seems those at the club now do.
A good strong manager will turn it around on the pitch regardless. Robins at Coventry for example

 

I don’t know I wasn’t in the discussion Fordy. All I do is pass on what I get told, the majority of which has been correct.. Chill out mate and get your blood pressure under control.

Given the fact that the teams picked up 4 points from 2 games it’s probably sensible to allow Trueman / Sellars to take the team without distractions.

Parky turned it around for lawn and Rhodes when they seemed to be getting it all wrong. It is quite simple. We’ve made bad choice as managers for the past 3 seasons. Trust me we get a good one in and we will go back up the leagues. Even with Rupp at the helm

 

Grayson is a decent manager, imo.

Don't get the criticism he receives. Understand the 'championship manager' backlash, but beyond that... Don't get it
