If you read what Biggs is saying. He is quoting the Daily mail Article which we have seen being wrong at least in part

But true in the majority of its article

 

We badly need something because if that article's right were on a reet mess.

 

Look further down his tweets, he says its common knowledge on the patch and well known in footballing circles.

 

Good post says it all @pns, but maybe he thinks he knows football not merely as he said he does but he worked for Stuttgarter Kickers in some scouting capacity I believe.

 

From my experience, the Daily Wail always put a few "shock statements" in their articles. Saying that the players are waiting to find out when pre season training starts, is one of them in my opinion. Just adds drama to the article.
However, the very fact they've picked up on our situation, means that they think there's something worth writing about, slinging mud or not.

how do we know the article is true, where are the quotes from official club employees - until then it's all hearsay. it MAY infact turn out to be true but at the moment it's all speculation. there is a difference between truth and an opinion based on hearsay.

 

It's hardly ground breaking news, its common knowledge that Rahic has gained himself a reputation as being hard to work with from people involved in the game and the media. Biggs has no axe to grind with Bradford and his comments are hardly going to bring him a lot of publicity. I'd rather not see comments like the ones from Biggs, i'd much rather see comments praising Rahic for his new managerial appointment. The longer he leaves the more he is leaving himself open for criticism.

Maybe he knows where @brisbanebantams is getting his information, what he's saying could be true, but apart from them knowing what date they will be returning the "given an individual programme to maintain fitness through the summer" is hardly a new thing, I suggest its standard practice with professional football clubs now a days.

 

The fact a national newspaper has taken the trouble to write such an article about a league 1 football club, suggests to me, much of that is true. Why would they go to the trouble of writing lies about a club of our stature.
I will check one part of that article, about players not knowing when they are to return, as I know the sister of one of our contracted first team players.

 

i'm not disagreeing with any of that, what i am nearly trying to say is that, for example - i could write a piece of journalism for a website saying that it is understood the club are doing a phased approach to interviews, giving candidates different scenarios and asking them to present the way they would manage them or present their pathway for getting a youth player into the first team. or that they are currently in final negotiations with the new head coach's backroom staff to get their contracts sorted and all will be announced in due course. now, without any form of club quote or statement regarding that, all it is is my opinion on what is happening - and that is what is in the daily fail article. one persons opinion on the situation with no evidence to back it up.

 

standard practice in football for decades for players to arrange holidays and make sure back in the country for the start if pre-season. or at least it was when i was working at another league one club.

 

Have you not heard the rumour Alan Briggs hates us more than the bloody BBC .

I quoted your "given an individual programme to maintain fitness through the summer comment", yes it would be logical for clubs to make sure there players have a break and are fit and refreshed ready for pre-season training.
