McCall IN/OUT (with new Poll)

The irony.

 

i can understand to a point. If we were drawing games 0-0 and missing chances then McCall could turn around and say he hasn’t been backed and it’s the reason he’s struggling. But we don’t even look a decent side missing one or two players. We look garbage with no clear tactical plan. If we find something that seems to work he changes it the next game anyway. He’s not helping himself at all.
granted there are some serious problems higher up which need addressing and fast but McCall is becoming a liability

 

I agree. I’ve said it several times; this is the worst squad I can remember us having. It’s short in so many areas. I can’t find any case to suggest McCall is doing a decent job, even with the limited resources he’s been given. And at some point this season, I fully expect a new manager to come in. But if we are indeed close to appointing a new CEO, then they need to determine who the best person for the job is, and it needs to be a decision based on a wider plan for how we take this club forward.

 

If fans are ever allowed back he could be a "match day host" having a couple of beers and telling stories to people who've stumped up for a pre-match meal. That's about all he is qualified for at a football club in this day and age.

I often see on here posters saying he'd be more suitable as a Director of Football or in charge of the youth setup, even though he has done nothing in his career to suggest they would be suitable roles for him. Sadly, it wouldn't surprise me if he ended up doing something like that one day, due to the culture at the club.

 

Do stop shouting, the point being made was Tranmere and Mansfield thought they'd steal a start on other league two clubs by bringing players in before the salary cap kicked in and ironically both clubs managers are now looking for work, thats all.

No, I don't think they thought they would steal a start but just seen performances and results haven't been good enough.

While we try to make excuses and mask things up.

What are we waiting for? We all know McCall isn't a good enough manager.

 

I'm not sure there are many disagreeing our recruitment has been poor and so far he's not produced the goods but Parks original comment is true, there were fans on here going ape sh1t because we were not following Tranmere and Mansfield doing expensive transfer deals before the cap was introduced being told they'd piss this league well nothing suggest so far that will happen, let's throw Bolton into that same situation they are also struggling and I dont think many would be surprised to see Evatt sacked.

 

does anybody listen to the 'The Hard Truth' podcast with Darragh MacAnthony and City fan Phil Ideson (be interesting to know if he posts on here) but in the one I listened to today he mentions a skype call with his manager in the summer - even though they finished last season without promotion and outside the play-offs, they were discussing aims for this season. he said he told the manager he wanted the league title and football league trophy this season because "if you're not going to aim to be the best then what's the point? don't settle for mediocre."

instantly thought of McCall's "we're never going to be top three" from last week. if that's the managers attitude then why are we bothering..

 

They sure were and the base of their argument was simply that they were signing players and we werent - absolutely no concept as to whether these clubs were actually building a team to fear or not. That is not to excuse our shocking recruitment though!

 

I said then that those comments are a sackable comments and I stand by that.

 

What total rubbish, you were one of the main culprits telling us all they were doing it right and were getting better quality in before the cap was introduced , actually slamming our club for not following using Ryan Sparks as an example when he said we voted against that cap and would not be making signings that would conflict even though the cap hadn't been introduced, telling us all because we weren't following suit we had no ambition flop flop when it suites you arguement.

 

Mate, with all respect you wait and while you wait you watch failure in front of your eyes(Just talking football here). You waited until the start of the year to fully understand Bowyer need to go.

You have blind loyalty! However, blind loyalty is what is damaging this club because people like you can't see how we are failing and what we need to do to improve.

Not sure anyone is making excuses for our recruitment, even accepting they were not stand out signing the question has to be asked after the inept performance yesterday why Stuart changed the formation once again and why players most would consider better players Watt,Prichard and Watt were not introduced to try and change the game, that to me is far more worrying and Stuart's comments were it was windy.

Yeah mate, always look forward to the next episode on a Wednesday. I can't believe i've read comments from some who wouldn't want him to be our next manager. Well just look where ambition and not settling for second best has got them. Sold yet another player off the production line in Ivan Toney to Brentford but not before identifying a replacement in Jonson Clarke Harris who is hitting the net regularly, went all out to sign Sammy Szmodics from Britsol City and has other potential 7 figure players in Jack Taylor and Siriki Dembele. Also states getting into the championship would allow him to sell players like Brentford did with Ollie Watkins for 10s of millions which would safeguard the future of his club.

And what exactly have we got? A complete bloody shitshow.
