But we LOST!

We've a manager that is TINKERING who fans are losing respect for and is starting to damage his reputation by talking utter nonsense and just looking like a poor football manager.

We've been here before when results are not good enough that McCall doesn't know what to do.

All our problems that are there that most fans know in June and we didn't address them. We lack pace, our forward line up isn't good enough or midfield lacks experience and our defence isn't poor.

I've lost faith but we can only hope.. IT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!

 

Do we see the issue? Even in a "good" performance the stand out performers are in the back line.

Creative midfielder making chances? Direct winger causing them issues? Strikers pulling their defenders to shreds?

Nah, but we have got a left centre half who can carry the ball quite well. Wheres my debit card for that ifollow purchase?

 

I don't see this we battered them...We lost!! It's simple as that.

Oh and we didn't score did we @wetherbywhaler? ...So to batter a team at least hit the back of the net.

Bolton were woeful and the league table doesnt lie we needed two goals to win and we got Zero. We lost.

5 points off relegation, 13 points off top.

Club has failed to replace Vaughan and Doyle despite the soundbites just where are the goals coming from this season.

 

We had 2 shots on target all match and one was from the spot . You simply don’t win football matches with them sort of stats

 

Never in a million years did we 'batter them'. The only save their keeper had to make was from the penalty. A young keeper, publicly slated by his manager at the weekend and we put him under next to no pressure all night.

We had lots of the ball and the game was played in their half; it was obvious that their game plan having taken the lead, was to sit deep with 2 banks of 4, playing on the break. Safe in the knowledge that our team has no creativity or goal threat whatsoever. That's not us battering them, that's the opposition happily ceeding ground. And if Crawford could finish they'd have had a couple more in the second half because despite our possession, they still had the clearer chances. Rick Parry and 'the Bolton people' think we'd have won if the penalty had gone in? That's based on Bolton themselves being low in confidence and quality, it's no vote of confidence in our ability. In fact, it says everything that playing against a team as poor and lacking as Bolton that we still couldn't score or even look like scoring.

This is the worst Bardford City squad I can remember for the last 30 years. Its lacking in just about every department it could be, it's been lazily assembled to no plan whatsoever, what little resources of quality we have are being mismanaged through constant changing of systems and line ups, and the only thing that will prevent us from being relegated is the fact that the standard of this league is so good awful, and circumstances of covid are such that there'll be 2 worse teams. But not many more than 2.

The only player we have with any attacking quality is Hossanah. A young loanee right back making only his 2nd start in league football. Even with the challenges the sport is facing into, this club is an utter shambles from top to bottom. It's fundamentally broken and needs completely rebuilding under a capable and supported CEO and manager. None of which should be Rhodes, McCall or Sparks.

Problem is, they didn’t need to, because they were already winning. 2 shots in target. Does that include the penalty? Embarrassed that people are saying we played well and deserved to win.

 

If we were playing as we played in the second half in recent matches then it wouldn't be so bad to be honest. There was a lot of endeavour and effort.

Two immediate things I'd like to see: 1. Us sticking with that formation from yesterday so the players get used to it and don't spend the first 20 minutes of the match feeling lost and being a goal behind and 2. A start with more intention, energy and getting into the other team (a bit like we started the second half).

We all know the score against Barrow - they'll be full of effort and energy and on a basic level we need to at least match that.

 

We badly lack pace and movement, From been a fast attacking side in the cup with the young players like against Doncaster we have moved to a very predictable and slow paced side easy to defend against,

Beautiful weather, blue sky and 23 degrees, thank god our covid restrictions finally eased as of yesterday after over 3 months.

UK's not looking good and I'm afraid it's going to be a long winter for you guy's.

City..... like covid I'm over both.

What has gone very quite is the big anouncment of our new CEO as mentioned last week by Rhodes.

I'm already having flash backs of our trip to Telford in the fa cup when seeing the 3rd draw yesterday..... chance to get even worse anyone

 

As the saying goes, you're only as good as your strikers and ours are, well, shite.

Still, at least Samuels was the last part of the jigsaw.

 

You can partly compensate for poor strikers by having good defenders and a good keeper. But those are shite as well.

 

Our biggest goal threats last night were 2 defenders in Hossanah and O'Connor, which shows how laughable the recruitment really has been.

 

I wonder if he found Greg Abbots book of “The secret to finding gems in league 2” personally signed by Adam Chicksen.

 

We have just scored 8 goals only 6 from open play - the others a goal keeping blunder and a penalty. Therein lies our problem given the current city team generally concedes.

Not the first time you have mentioned yourself at a game. Whilst most fans wish to be at a game, would loved to have watched the full game but couldn't because ifollow failed in the first half, it pleasing to know you was in attendance.

Great to see, we are all in it together.

The new CEO (Mr Sparks) certainly has his work cut out repairing that
To say he is not unhappy with defeat at a lower placed club who have been a bigger basket case club than us is a sign of how low expectations are
Perhaps defeat at Barrow and needing a replay against the "Angels" will wake them up
