Seriously Simon messy is not without foundation.
We were totally unable to control the game in any shape or form.
McCall and Black are to blame.
The players don't seem capable of carrying out basic instructions, final execution is non existent.
One of the worst City sides assembled since the Wembley seasons.

 

Yes agreed all poor but the worst one is Guthrie. No energy, no drive and looks uninterested. Oh and he can't score either.

 

I have often pondered on what we as fans can do to have an effect on the club.
We can withdraw our support , but ultimately all that does is harm the club in the long run.
I suggested on another thread, that if we could get 10000 fans to put £2 a week away in a savings account , over the period that is left on the ground rent agreement, it would raise over £8 miilion. We could then purchase the stadium and become the clubs landlord, Would this be a way of gaining some influence on how we move forward. It would need someone with more brains than me to organise though,

 

My memory is fine. Ramsden is better than French by a distance. Oliver at CB is better than BRE by a distance. Omar Daley or DMH? Lets have a think. Christ I'd have Jake Speight over Guthrie.

 

I don't think anyone has actually made that claim, what they have suggested is with 60% possession we should be doing better, don't you understand football.

 

How poor was the midfield in the second half though? I swear they gave the ball away with about six consecutive bad passes.

 

Just got in from work - was it THAT bad? The changes at the top cant come fast enough, but think this needs to happen before we do anything else - but accept its going to be messy on here tonight!!

My only concern with park bantam is how he expands his bullshit before during and after the game.

The defeat was his fault for the wrong formation

He went 3 up top to cause them problems.

Could have matched them 3-5-2 but that would most likely have resulted in a draw.

we were chasing game leaving holes at the back.

he took Samuels (our most dangerous player in the first half IMO) off at HT as they would just sit back second half and he would have no space to run into.

They were organised, most of their team have been there ages and had a game plan which he tried to disrupt.

Told the players at half time get the next goal.

We must be mentally strong for Bolton on Tuesday

My take is that he needs to stop tinkering and play to OUR limited strengths.

I am sick to death of McCall thinking its necessary to change shape and system every single week, its complete nonsense. You look at Newport today - they knew in the summer they wanted to play 3-5-2 so recruited as such and have played that system ever since, no matter the opposition. Same for the likes of Harrogate.

What was it, three formations in this game alone? Its absolutely pathetic and is no surprise that our players look clueless. They don't know their roles and responsibilities because they're not allowed to get any consistency with a different approach every week.

Sure, tweak the odd player and instruction depending on the opposition but to keep changing everything as we do constantly has become tiresome.

 

Very disheartening to hear mate, sorry for those of you who had to sit through it - so many components of the team we havent sorted and as much as I dont think he should go Stuart has to take some responsibility (not just for today!) The front line is just pitiful as a unit despite having a long summer window to sort it, they will all have decent individual games from time to time but so rarely as unit. But cant just pick up on the strikers as it sounds like we disappeared all over the pitch again.
I was with some other football coaches watching Woking win in the FA Cup at bitter rivals Aldershot, great committed performance from my second club so at least can cling to this tonight

 

Oppo teams can't counter our formation as they have no idea what it will be.

Play to our limited strengths and give the lads something to work with. Today our midfield looked lost , with slow approach play all round.

 

McCall deluded. Thinks its the oppo who are constantly the better side.
Rupp doesn't care.
Rhodes doesn't care. Only here til someone better comes along.
Fans aren't seen, aren't heard.
Players going through the motions, because they don't know if they will be tinkered next game.
