But I hope we "can't fault him for effort" and I hope he "gets up and down the field".

It's all about the details, m8.

Is George Miller even a footballer? I saw nothing that suggested he was when he was with us.

He’s also winner of “the worst flick on I’ve ever seen” award for an attempt vs Burton a couple of years ago. City had a throw is on half way. Throw in taken towards Miller who inexplicably headed it straight out of play.

Until he was injured Donaldson was forging a good partnership and he was already 35. He brought good value to the team just as players like Gary Jones and Jon Stead have done in the past

It's not a comparison between the two, though, is it?

He said they are a certain age and they both brought value to the side.

It's like saying London and Ulaanbaatar are both capital cities in the Northern hemisphere and both have interesting historical museums, and somebody chiming in with an 'OH MY GOD YOU CAN'T COMPARE LONDON WITH A CITY IN MONGOLIA'.

    Not a comparison.

I see a number on here are very concerned about the lack of signings.

However my understanding is that we are limited to the size of budget and there is a suggestion, that there is a much smaller squad.

The same budget restrictions will apply to all other clubs. Last season we used nearly 40 players, that option will not be available, both to us and the other clubs, unless the salaries are utter peanuts!

So although there is some concern about the lack of signings, then the reduction in all clubs ability to pay substantial salaries and reductions in numbers, will mean a lot of players could be forced out of the game.

I guess players, agents and the PFA, have struggled to understand the real implications. Players will have to accept lower payments or leave football, as there will be fewer opportunities.

We already have a squad with 24 players, so there will be few additional signings. https://www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk/on-the-pitch/first-team-player-profiles/ Getting the right players in, before the season begins is crucial.

A fair point. I guess I am looking at it from the current situation and the future for this season. The old adage’ we are where we are’, comes to mind. It is where the club can go from here which is the issue. For sure some clubs signed players before it was introduced, a lot of others haven’t done so.
I am sure there will be very similar discussions taking place amongst supporters, of virtually all League 1&2 clubs.

Those clubs in their eagerness to sign the 'best' players may be paying far too much, and it remains to be seen if players like Eoin Doyle and Antoni Sarcevic are the best players available anyway - who else is going to have to drop to League Two level, and what wages might they have no choice but to accept?

Having said that, I'm not at all convinced we'll bring in any monsters.

Why plan for 46 games when you can plan for the last 18 instead.

    Good thinking City.
