I wouldn't be against signing Hiwula. Even at his age, if he is successful on the goal front then there could be admirers in the division above. No other position on the park commands a fee like a prolific goalscorer.

 

He wasn't by himself with regards Wembley .

Ahah not a great Stuart fan myself as far as manager is concerned but this is about certain circumstances when his last spell ended

 

I would take Hoola Hoop over Maynard and Rose. Maybe he is one of the players McCall is trying to persuade to play in league 2?

 

I get the feeling there's a lot of frustration been vented all over the internet.
The restrictions surrounding everything that's the norm just compound matters tenfold.
From season ticket sales to recruitment it's an absolute mess.
Even fixture release day didn't spark any enthusiasm because you most certainly won't be able to attend without even more restrictive activity spoiling the day.
Negativity seems to be the major response no matter what the club do, or at the present moment don't do.
Our supporters in the main are trying to be supportive but how can you have an upbeat outlook when for example media blackouts and positive covid testing of staff can effectively put pay to games and future plans nothings certain anymore.

 

Without doubt, getting this situation sorted with regards the purchasing of season ticket for the start of the coming season on the 12th September 21 day's and counting wont be an easy task.

 

God theres some doom and gloom merchants on here. Season not evan started yet more players will be brought in over next 3 weeks. And i dont get all this McCall hate. Give me stuart any day over the last 3 bag of shite managers. Performed miracles even getting us to Wembley under circumstances last time.

 

The bar for miracles is low.

Taking a team that got beat by Millwall in the play off, getting £750k worth of players bought including the best striker we've had since Nahki and getting beat by Millwall in the playoffs again doesn't sound that miraculous to me.

 

I cud be wrong but I'm sure the budget stuart had that season was no where near millwall and about the 10th highest in division

You are fighting a losing battle if you expect any part of anything that has gone wrong to stick to Stuart ‘Teflon’ McCall.

 

But he didn’t say that he said nobody paid high wages and a fee

i think McCall is the wrong choice but he did over achieve last time the squad was weak and the interference from above was tearing the club apart

 

Seems strange that some are choosing to berate the efforts of a manager getting us the closest to championship we've been in 16 years. I too think it was time for a completely new manager but choose to applaud McCalls effort in that Wembley season rather than knock it.

 

If I had the choice I wouldn't bring in Rose or Maynard and if possible would opt for Hiwula and Biamou. Both played at Coventry together and both know each others strengths.

 

Just biamou for me, we have a lot of strikers on the books already. Bit of a long shot but im hoping Guthrie could fit hiwulas role
