yeh, I work in a hospital. after a day full of masks, gowns and visors whilst treating patients I've been doing my best to avoid idiots like you on social media - the days are stressful enough as it is right now.

I’m stunned he’s gone with the double down option. Boris Johnson has forged a career of siding with the popular angle - and on this he’s just catastrophically failed to read the room, or the polling.

It’s quite rare that you can watch someone’s public approval drop as they’re talking.

Even with the next election five years away, you very much get the feeling this will be remembered.

 

It isn't that Tony. It is that so many people have sacrificed so much, some including their lives, and we have people in power doing what the feck they like.

My parents are in their 80s, they can't go out the house, have medical conditions and I've stayed 50 miles away from them because that was the right thing to do.

Can you imagine if this was Keir Starmer we were discussing? He would be slaughtered by the Tory front bench.

That said, I have respect for Tory politicians who are saying he has to go. This is about us sticking together as a nation.
