Hancock will certainly be the fall guy over all this. I can see him either resigning or been removed from his position within weeks

Calls on Hancock to resign this morning @Dennis@Dennis I don't see him lasting at all. Pressure mounting badly on him. If we don't get to his 100k testing target he's doomed.

I honestly can't believe fights are coming into the country and people are not getting checked for the virus or even going into quarantine when they land.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8238583/Hundreds-arrive-Heathrow-virus-hotspots-theyre-not-stopped-Covid-19-screening.html

As for PPE we are still have an approved list instead using companies that can supply. We have firms in the U.K that are supplying other countries and not our own because the government are not answering/replying their call to help.

Many small Labs are still are not being used in this country.

Social care and care homes just being neglected.

Hancock will be the fall gay for all of this but he does need go. He's a liability.

Ha, the 'approved' list. Always been a gravy train supplying the public sector. You scratch my back and i'll cross your palm with a lovely backhander. The wife used to work for one of the NHS suppliers, lets say its different to supplying the private sector. You never know, we might finally see some change to how the public sector is supplied when this is all over.

The approved list is an utter joke at this time. Get the equipment to those that need it and fast.

@Bronco@Bronco seems to think Boris is safe after this. I believe Boris is big danager of losing his position in a few years because he is showing he's a weak leader and a poor one. He can turn it round but not locking down quickly, not having a plan and not even here in charge.

Wealthy people are losing money and under conservatives that's just a crime!

I'd say Boris is safe, the Labour party will continue to eat itself from within to the point of self destruction. Not that i think he is a great leader judging by recent going ons but we've got a full term of office before we can really set judgement. The country so badly needs a new line in politics.

All depends mate. In situations like this you tend to get attacked from within. I think Boris will need to highlight he's no mug and will have to get rid of the weak like Hancock.

I also think that if we don't outline an exit plan soon that businesses will start to lose confidence in his leadership. Many will be planning redundancies due to the lack of belief Boris will lead us out of this mess.

Labour have the biggest chance in years to close that gap. Pro conservatives papers are attacking them. It's clear that the conservatives are making a right mess of this situation.

This we are guided by the science is a load of fu&king bollocks and anyone that believes it is a fuc&ing idiot! We are guided by the lack of resources and conservatives failure to prepare! This country is an embarrassment at this moment!

My favourite thing to do at the moment is to watch videos of protesting Americans.

In the midst of their biggest ever economic meltdown. Whilst their President increasingly makes no-so-veiled accusations towards China about the potential of this being a deliberate act. All armed with guns. In crowded areas.

    Gonna end well is this......

Economically speaking, America is going to be the hardest hit out of any country, isn’t it, just look at the price of a barrel of oil, literally paying for it to be taken away. It’s an election year, and Trump needs some meat to throw to his base, China’s going to be it.

Has today signed or last night anyway, an executive order to suspend all immigration to the US. He’s started. Will make himself out to be the great protector of Americans.

ONS state government figures used at daily briefings are about 4000 out by actual deaths including community and care homes etc. Horrible numbers

It was 7k this morning. Don't tell @Storck@Storck

Clarke was getting hammered this moment because he didn't know. He classed them as stats! People's lives mate!

This is what I mean I Boris needing to get rid of the weak. The heat is firmly coming on the conservatives and some just can't handle it.

Extremely poor presentations that a 12 year could do and they just can't carry themselves off.

I've no confidence in them getting us out of this mess and from today I will do my own thing to protect myself, my family and my wealth.

I suggest people start do that and it doesn't mean stay at home playing with your balls!

The problem being hes stuffed his govt full of pro brexit yes men idiots who were employed for their loyalties and not capabilities, so the whole govt is weak. Can't name a single cabinet member I'd trust to make me a cup of tea at this stage.
I think the thing thats breaking me the most is it's painfully clear how we need international multilateral agreed actions to halt this virus in absence of a vaccine, yet both us and America went and elected dumb feck isolationists who'll put the blockers on any international action out of ideology rather than any practical benefit.

Aye, if only Corbyn would have had a free pass to wreck the economy eh...? he would have been in dreamland, of course he would have closed everything down, in a heartbeat, for a good 12 months at least...

    90%?? Don't be ridiculous.
Maybe of the people you mix with and in the papers you read.
90% of the population are certainly on board with the current isolation measures. That doesn't mean that they all think the government has handled this well.
Many people are outraged that one of the richest countries in the world can't supply it's health and social care staff with basic protective equipment to do their jobs properly. Many are questioning why our supplies were run down so badly, why reports of our unpreparedness were ignored and buried and why the PM went on holiday to the countryside when he should have been leading the planning.
The Times (which campaigned for Johnson's election) nailed it. But you are so determinedly hard-line right wing that you would defend anything this incompetent shower do, or don't do, however negligent. As I said in my post, plenty of previous Tory politicians would have handled this far more responsibly than Johnson's charlatans.

Did you even read my post properly? I made it perfectly clear that I had no faith in Corbyn's judgement or leadership abilities.
