Its stupid stuff like that killed him, hoping that ignoring the antisemitism would make it go away. Shame because some of the stuff he runs with, in a perfect and fair society would be a positive. But i'm not sure the world he wants us to live exists anywhere. Take my bro in law, he freely admits that getting his benefit laden education (two degrees) was done on the back of the education policies if Tony Blair. Now he earns very good money teaching at grammar school and kids darn sarf (£50 an hour private tuition) he votes Tory.

Part of me wishes the "poop" icon would be available, just to leave lying around somewhere where that part of you could step in it! Oh, wait...there is one. Here you go: :poop: It's bad enough having the orange goblin in charge of the neighbours; that pair in charge at home would have stretched one's patience (and politeness) well past breaking point.

We might outnumber the feckwits, as suggested above, but we have to, seeing as more than one of us is needed to repair the damage caused by each of them!

    Bah, politicians!

But I am glad that Johnson is out of the ICU.

As I posted ages back (seems ages), I don’t wish any ill on Boris at all, i might not agree with him at all but I certainly would not want that. He should have been straight off the job, as soon as there was an indication he was seriously ill.

Interesting reading todays posts. whilst I don’t have a strong opinion either way on this case, to think a government could not have the means to ‘stage’ something if they really wanted to in this day and age, for me places a hell of a lot of trust in the very types of people there seems to be so much mistrust of! I’ll remain open minded on it i think. It was interesting when dave cameron was wheeled out to support his ‘mate’ Boris the other day, it’s all soundbites with the old ‘he gets things done’ thrown in for good measure. The man is ill, but we still need all that? Someone’s ill and they still need to squeeze in the soundbites. Charming.

Bloody hell RCB, I was just going to post that thought as well. At least Abbott would look animated next to "Ken" Pence and almost intellectual next to El tango.

I agree there isn't a perfect way to do this, but as someone who works in a bar/nightclub you're throwing us bar workers to the slaughter there a bit just so people can have a pint. imo bars and pubs should be the last, given when they do open its going to be an absolute tidal wave of people wanting a pint and therefore probably one of the riskiest places in terms of creating another outbreak. Also, pissed people = poor decision making, tons of drunk people who'll be coughing on others and the like because they've had a drink and think its funny etc and forgetting to properly observe the social distancing rules. Things like cinemas could be different if theres rules on seating arrangements etc but I would honestly leave the pubs till last or at least till we've massively got a handle on the outbreak.

I think jenrick literally looks and comes across like the most stereotypical bastard tory but i cant really knock him for this. If he didnt go inside and see them and just dropped off medication he's within his rights to do so as their son. If it was like the scottish CMO and he was just off for a jolly somewhere then he should resign on the spot but to me the context is different here. Again I'd rather focus on the PPE issue. Very nervous as my dads fiancee is a nurse that specialises in respiratory issues who's gonna be dealing with her first set of covid patients tomorrow. Got some other good pals in the health service too and from what they've told me so far it isn't good at all. One's already said theyre having to treat a ward of covid patients with no PPE at all.

Also have no ill intent towards Boris but equally no sympathy. Glad he's not died but completely fecking daft for shaking hands with coronavirus patients. Doubly so for boasting about it, especially as its now most likely landed him in hospital and infected those around him in high level decision making roles like Whitty etc, who became ill around the same time.

I'm just getting bored of them making excuses for failure mate.

They soundbite but don't deliver and now isn't the time for that.

GET THE PPE AND TESTING FFS! Don't have people clapping when you can't deliver.

Don't hide behind scientists when you can't do your job lead.

Just not good enough so far in my mind!

Im just taking note of how they're handling it to question them properly once we're out of the woods bar the PPE issue. If they can simultaneously turn multiple private multi thousand cap leisure venues into fully functioning emergency hospitals with fully trained staff in something like just under a fortnight, how can they not ensure front line staff have safe equipment to use within the space of 2-3 months?

Because it's something they can control and shout about in terms of the hospitals.

The PPE they know they're messing up. It's those that are not frontline that defend the government but they wouldn't be frontline themselves without the PPE. It's a joke!

Great minds.... Us, I mean, of course; certainly not them!

Physical distancing and hand hygiene measures might be starting to show results here; apparently the rate of new cases had been doubling every 5 days, but now takes 9. Still not at what the experts think will be the peak, though; one model suggest the next 10 days will be critical for this province. But overall, the federal government is thinking about the summertime as when this first wave will be over.

Very fair point. Personally, I'm less precious about the need to go to a pub. I was thinking more about the context of smaller businesses reopening. But your right. And I actually just read an article about how wuhan is approaching the easing of their lockdown and in their case, bars - and restaurants - will be the last thing to reopen.

Now Boris is out of intensive care its back to 'Boris the b@stard'. So he was, then he wasn't, now he is again. Looks like he came out of ICU too early, a rookie mistake. Should have at least done a couple of weeks so the sympathy vote really takes effect. His PR team need firing with immediate effect, give him another dose of Corona doctor.

Shocking pictures this morning from America, New York in this particular case burying bodies in mass graves, terrible pictures, makes our present situation even more worrying.

    Wrong.

Corbyn took the labour party off the popularity charts and made for the weakest opposition ever.

When he leaves hospital I’m picturing on horseback, shield with the Union Jack on and him raising a sword screaming I’ve conquered Corona I’m here to save you all.
