Playgrounds etc. are shut down and taped off over here; one woman was seen busily removing the tape from one such area. And she didn't even have children with her... We are indeed surrounded by stupidity!

But on a better note, I thought that was a very good address by the Queen. The right things said, in the right ways. Is it too much to hope for that the message, coming from her, might get through to at least some of those who don't pay heed to the same messages coming from politicians or scientists?

If that doesn’t work they should put out Samuel L Jackson video at prime time. Guarantee everyone would be talking about it

I heard on the radio a few days ago that its usually around 10 days or so that people tend to be admitted to hospital. Could be one of those things where they wont be telling us the full extent of issues.

No its usually around 5-7 days when the pneumonia sets in and breathing becomes difficult hence the need for hospitalisation.

Worrying that Bojo still has it 10 days on. Shows the unpredictability of this thing.

Can't see tweets on here due to my privacy settings, but may I assume a menacing pose, a big gun, and a clearly enunciated message along the lines of "Yo people-who-have-sexual-intercourse-with-your-mothers, behave or I'm going to go all medieval on your sorry sit-upons?" (Well, maybe not quite in those exact words...)

    It might just work!

Shouldn't have too much problem with people respecting the social distancing with these.

I seem Boris going to hospital has brought out the worst of the left again, everything from wishing him a painful death to thinking it's a ploy to take him out of the firing line. He looks ill, he is probably still working 18 hour days and this has probably made it worse.

The PM has it, Prince Charles has had it, it does not select it's targets it can infect anyone and still feckwits persist with 50mile drives to the peak district etc. The government is paying people 80% of your salary to sit on your arse watching TV and people can't even do that right. Whilst millions are out there putting themselves on the frontline to deal with this virus. I'll say it, those people who break the lockdown are @?#&, hypocrites who probably clap the NHS whilst then helping to spread it.

I'm no fan of Johnson but there seems to be an agenda driven part of society that is basking in the glory of attacking the guy at every opportunity. Even now when he is in hospital, its like they're willing him to fail so Harry hindsights can revel in their new found fame. Quite sad really.

It’s poor when people’s political bias gets so blatantly brought into it, and it’s be the same if Corbyn had it from some on the other side. He’s still a human with a child on the way, hope he makes a speedy recovery. It also brings it home that if the leader of a first world country can get it and be seriously effected then anyone can, stay safe.

Situations like this shouldn't be about politics and that's half of the problem.

I find it sad that people are seeing this as a political situation when the country is on its knees both health and economically is beyond me. We have to look at mistakes, look at the positives and get over this but defend, defend and attack, attack just won't help we just need to see results and solutions to this awful problem the world find itself in.

People do seem to get confused about politics and politicians, like they're pantomime characters you boo and hiss and jeer or you love and compliment and see only the very best in.

Unfortunately that's a symptom of a tabloid-driven mentality, in my opinion, which has transferred over quite nastily onto the internet and social media.

It's utter hysteria to wish ill on someone, and the reasons people do is because they blame politicians for everything that's wrong or unfair in life when actually, it's just life, people make mistakes, there isn't an unlimited warchest of funds to allow absolutely everybody to do absolutely everything they'd like, and unfortunately that's how it is.

Anyway, best of luck to Prime Minister Boris Johnson, I hope he makes a full and speedy recovery, continues to obey the guidance, and rests up.

You've spent half this thread criticising @Faithful Bantam@Faithful Bantam for being a blue Tory.
