My cousin runs a care home in Leeds. She's saying that what's happening, is that she's now just getting corona infected patients in, and prepping them for death. These are the ones who are in their 80's. They aren't being given beds in hospital, because it's unlikely they'll survive, and they (hospitals) are giving beds to those who might make it and can be fixed.

This why I am saying is a game on hope but if over 70 it's hope and pray.

I actually sat through one of his long interviews he gave, one that's been shared a lot, and I swear to God he said absolutely nothing throughout the whole thing other than his opening gambit 'the world is controlled by the 1%/rich elite' - well DUH, David, I don't think there's a person on the planet who doesn't know that already...

What is it you've latched on to that had any real meaning, because I got lost in his sea of meandering waffle?

 

I can see the cashless society being a reality sooner rather than later. Maybe not this time but if this virus hits hard again next year then we will go that way more and more. And you can understand it. Drug dealers would be lost for example

 

not just NHS but health services across the whole world

 

I remember him a couple of years back predicting a big feck off war against China...

 

These videos do raise some points I find interesting, if watched with an open mind. The idea of a post Orwellian state, self policed restrictions of social movement through fear and panic, the destruction of small and even medium businesses, the potential for a single, digital currency.




Maybe I'm just getting cabin fever bit something about the whole thing doesnt stack up. We want to 'protect the NHS and save the lives of the most vulnerable'. At what point has any government ever been so interested in those points, to the point of spending somewhere near a trillion pounds in just a few months?

I dont know, but I'm keeping an open mind as this thing plays out. Whether it's part of a global conspiracy - or a bio warfare move by China, I just dont buy that this is a natural phenomenon and the only way to combat it is by turning off the worlds economy.

 

And the template is set now isnt it? If it were part of an mass design, and we get through it after a few months - with a massively impacted economy and huge changes to our way of life, can you imagine how pliable society would be when COVIDs big brother has apparently been discovered? We'd be begging to be locked up in our homes, for the armies to be on the streets.

The idea of a cashless economy has been around for many decades, and Sweden is considered a cashless economy. It's pretty likely, and far from an 'Icke' idea.

Protecting the older generations is naturally massively important, as the vast majority of wealth in the UK (according to the Office for National Statistics) is held by 55-74 year olds.

The very top end of the scale, 85+, are not wealthy - and as has been outlined, due to health reasons, not considered a top priority by the NHS. If there's a scandal to be had, it's there, but of course it's not a scandal.

There's nothing about any of this to suggest the 1% aren't still looking after the interests of the 1% first and foremost - that's something that will never change.

The meme going round about 'why is coronavirus taken so seriously? because it kills the rich' rings more true than the over-elaborate imaginings of a guy who looks a bit, well, unwell...

Just to add to the madness as like everyone else I’ve got far to much time on my hands atm, but is a war between the NATO allies and Russia, China and North Korea really impossible after all this has finished?

If China and Russia come out relatively unscathed both economically and health wise then questions from the west will be asked. In the Sunday Times today it was talking about Britain are going to demand answers from China for why they were so secretive at the start of all this, and I can not only imagine they won’t be the only ones, but also I can see China telling everyone were to go.

Think back to the late 20’s and the rise of fascism, it would never have happened if not for the stock market crashing. These sort of events often change the way of the world for better or worse, and if the west’s economies collapse after this what better way to restart them than a war against a common enemy?

I don't think the UK will need to ask China anything, by all accounts Australia has gone full national-socialist in it's blame of the Communists...

I know it is, just sharing what I’ve read, countries will want answers especially considering how secretive they were at the start.
With the Australians, a lot already have a dislike to the Chinese, when I was over there if you replaced Chinese for Eastern European it’d be similar to some attitudes over here, stealing our jobs etc. But they also have an obsession with Chinese buying huge amounts of unused land over there and think it’s China’s way of ‘taking’ over. So it doesn’t surprise me at all.

 

So Now Trump is saying 30th April the social restrictions will last until, when it was to be Easter. The man lives on cloud Cuckoo land.

Trump has no idea what's going on. He spends more time contradicting previous statements and saying great, great, great than he does anything else.

Yeah, you're correct I was. I think @JonButterfield is correct he Tramp has no idea what's going on but you have to remember that US, UK etc are all on this G20 and it seems that the leaders just want to hide behind the scientists now.

These scientists that also seem to have no idea what's going on. We gone for wash your hands to can't see loved ones. We go from 1 week to 12 weeks.

My thoughts on Trump's decision and Boris 3 weeks to maybe longer is because they didn't prepare for this and they're delaying for time. The extension is all about TIME. Time to get more equipment, time to get more beds, time to build more hospitals etc. It's not for the curve, just time because they failed us!

Also they're looking at geographical data and thinking damn we haven't enough beds there. This is why I am saying Yorkshire needs to be ready because the government won't be until it's too late.

FAIL TO PREPARE, PREPARE TO FAIL!!

The lockdown is because we failed and now shambling for time! Don't be fooled!

 

Where and how did we fail to prepare, specifically? If the Chinese had been more transparent, the impact - worldwide - would almost certainly have been lessened.
