Good news, in theory. But then, how do you distinguish between those people in public who've had it and are therefore immune, and those who see it as another short cut to avoiding restrictions.

I hate to be the one to bring bad news to this debate too but the EUs disease control board (yes I know, nasty EU) have announced that there is no evidence and never has been that the warmer summer weather will stop a spread of this virus. We must put measures in place to stop it ourselves and not rely on Warmer weather slowing it down

Into day 3 of home quarantine here. News is all over the place. One channel saying one thing, another channel something else. School out now until April 24th at earliest (State governor edict), now hurriedly trying to get a policy together for school systems to follow wrt end of school year, graduation credits etc. Seniors , (18 year old) need a certain number of credits and specific subjects in order to graduate. I have a few in my chemistry classes, they have to have it to graduate. So I can see the school year being extended well into June in Tennessee. That'll bugger the trip back to UK right up but the bigger picture is more important, besides, airlines being very good about all of this .

Well the damage would have to be physical as I doubt he has a brain.

 

No I get it. And just to be clear, my Mrs isn't just cracking on regardless. Just 2 examples from today.

1) She's been to the supermarket, but not for anything essential.
2) She's been to drop some stuff at her sisters.

On 2, she thinks that because she didn't go in, her sister unlocked her car boot from inside the house and my wife left the stuff in the car, its all ok. And its probably low risk - but shes still handled the car, which has surfaces where the virus could linger etc.

Bottom line - she didn't need to do either. And people don't seem to be getting the nature of the word 'essential'.

 

I think your last paragraph is a bit extreme but understand your point. Why are bike shops essential? Outside of London who actually uses a bike? For it to be deemed essential I mean

There could/probably redundancies. I hope it turns round sooner rather than later. A lock down can not go on for months.
