After two days of a decrease in deaths Italy has a sharp rise in cases and deaths. They are really really struggling with it, it seems.

we are currently operating on a similar lockdown they had at first and don’t seem to be taking it seriously. I hope to god we don’t end up in their position. 700 dead in a day. Shocking

Here's a reply from an ex work colleague who lives in Spain and how they are going about things,
we have been on lock down now for 10 days and Saturday evening that got extended to the 12th of April, lock down means lock down here only places you can go to are Supermarkets, Pharmacy and petrol station then it’s only 1 of you can go in the car, they only let so many people in at a time and you must have a mask and gloves on and keep 2 metres distance from anyone else, but it’s better to be 2 metres away than 2 metres underground, stay safe.
We need to be tougher with those that don't adhere to the governments guild lines.

Whether people will vote for him if he leaves their relatives to die remains to be seen.
