Well that'd make another interesting thread and one I'd be happy to contribute to. But they are, and right now economic depression will lead to deaths, it always does. More than the virus? Who knows? But a younger & poorer demograph that's for sure and that can't be right?

At 57 l am not old or young, but l am fit & healthy, as l have said before, l am resigned to getting it because of my job. Am l worried about getting the virus? Nope. What worries me is the economic & human cost on others.

 

If we were not so intent, and unnecessarily, keen on eating our fellow creatures then we wouldn't have this problem.....lots of lessons here, from eating to Britain's ridiculous food supply where we import 75+ of our fruit & veg into a very green & fertile land.

I think he is handling it the best way he can. He is walking a very thin line. He is desperate not to panic ppl and at the same time appeal to ppl’s personal responsibility. The only problem with that some ppl don’t have any personal responsibility and look to blame others. What has heartened me though is a number of young ppl have come forward to volunteer and show civic responsibility. I don’t think the Police will be used to keep public order, I think we will see the army on the streets, leaving the Police to get on with fighting crime etc, might be wrong, but if they really have to ramp it up to keep ppl indoors it will be the army.
