Back to back wins would be a pleasant change. Cambridge lost 14 of their 33, 1-0 win for city I reckon.

Shall we get the last player that scored a hat trick for us to lace his boots and to play for us?

 

Er because we should try and pick players who are in form? Kind of a bit logical mate. He scored 2 goals last match therefore he will have more confidence than others who haven't scored for ages. Obvs.

 

It’s going to be interesting to see the intensity we play at, and positivity. As for months we’ve played away games to try steal a point and offered nothing. Even if we don’t win I want to see us have a go, that will signal progress for me in trying to turn our away form around.

 

Look, I understand he scored two goals which is good but his overall game was extremely poor.

However, his 2 goals should keep him in the team for today but he needs to up his game. He will know this.

 

It's going to be exciting... all we want is the team to have a go and take it from there.

Trying to steal points was never going to work.

Cambridge have only scored 36 goals and conceded 43,
ten more than us.

I can see a 1-0 to us with wringing hands as final whistle

I have been reading about Cambridge’s last few matches. They have adopted a high pressing game which is difficult to deal with if midfield can’t tackle I think there will need to be an extra midfielder in there today

 

We could stick an extra 2 or 3 in there, doesn't mean we'll be any more well equipped to tackle though.

Little scared of teams we play? Little mouse mindset?

We should we change our game plan for them?

A game has different phases. We might start with an extra man in midfield, who I suspect will be McCartan, but push him up alongside Novak when we are on top - or, perish the thought, chasing the game,

A game does have different phases but teams that tend to show another team too much respect lose more often than not.

4-4-2 with McCartan moving in to make it 4-3-3 when we have the ball like he was told to do on Tuesday but wouldn't listen is fine. If we lead and McCartan more inside that's sound but I see no reason for us to scared like we were under Bowyer.
