McCartan, Hudson & Gibson are mediocre at best. They couldn't get into a bang average league 1 team.

I think you forgot McLaughlin, Darby, Meredith, Mcardle, Wells & Reid. They did 'OK' for us.

A player can be and only ever will be as good as the team around him at our level. Yes you do get a player that is quite literally magical (dele Ali for mk) but it rarely happens. Gibson could be amazing so cud McCarten if the team is right for them. Look at Morris with Scunthorpe. Marshall with us with parky and then the difference with McCall.
You probably would say Clark would only get in a bang average league one side but charlton quite like him.
Give them a chance and stop being so critical. Why can’t city fans get behind our team. A good mate of mine is a Bolton fan and when I mention shot like this his response was I support the team on the field couldn’t give a shit who we recruit.

You can't carry players and get promoted. The more average players you have, the more you have an average team.

McCartan needs the team building around him because he's not a centre forward and he's not a wide player.

This Hannes Wolf chap doesn't seem too bad. Had good results with young teams, and his win ratio is ok. Young himself (37) and out of work. Seems to tick a lot of the boxes Edin and Co want. And of course he's a fellow Hun.
I wouldn't be suprised at all. And it would basically be Edin sticking his fingers up at us lot, saying he's running the club how he wants to, and doesn't give a damn what anyone else thinks.

Kai is 24, McBurnie was 17/18, clearly talented but at a club not noted for youth development and was arguably starting to get the crowd on his back for not scoring every game. Kai is 6 or 7 years older, he’s German so hardly living in an alien culture and first time abroad? Balls, I was living and working abroad in a country whose language I didn’t speak at a similar age and it’s hardly difficult. Yes he may develop with coaching and confidence, but if you think he’s the man to score 15 goals and win games on his own this season you’re mistaken. Or Edin.

Being delighted to be here, will power, coaching and confidence get you so far, you need talent to do the rest.
