If we had some ambition to meet it half away i could stomach it, a viable alternative to the out of reach premiership and its extreme prices. A club that strives for the championship but understands it will more than likely yoyo between that and league 1. It disheartened me a lot when i asked the question of how many were happy to ride the Geoffrey Richmond roller coaster and yet a fair few would have quite happily foregone that for the safety of the lower leagues. How do i sell that attitude to my lad? Do you fancy coming back from University to watch the footy with your old man. Yeah we're playing Crawley at home. I'm pretty sure what the answer will be. But hey, its only a tenner a ticket. Don't matter does it.

That's quite sad that your son feels like that. But it's hardly surprising. Many fans and I include myself in that group, go to VP on a Saturday and possibly Tuesday night either out of loyalty or simply from habit. For me on a Saturday, it's an occasion to meet up with a group of friends who all live over an hours drive from VP (one over two hours) and have a meal, a drink or two and a laugh together. And then we go down to VP to have all of that knocked out of us.

For the young fans, football is largely entertainment or maybe just possibly time with their parents. And City's competition isn't Leeds and Town. It's time to spend with their mates if not their parents; it's a chance to do their own thing together; it's Youtube; it's online gaming; it's spending time in comfortable surroundings. The last thing it is is the latest fecking hashtag. Grrr :(

We still enjoyed the day if that sounds daft. But from i've watched this season and the last time we were in league 2 its little better than part time football and wouldn't be surprised in todays football climate that the division in the future does end up like that for a lot of teams. No matter how much you support your team does anyone really want to spend their Saturday afternoons paying to watch what is basically non league football just with fitter players.

Spot on. Kids are more interested in technology these days than the majority of things anyway. Going to watch really boring football doesn't compare to playing FIFA/Fortnite at home instead.

Met up with a few mates before the game last Sat and was pleased to see kids with parents still going for a drink beforehand and then to the game. I wonder though if they still do go just for the occassion, meeting up with their parents friends kids or whether they do actually enjoy the game or even watch the game. The majority of them did have phones/ipads etc (as my kids did when they went). I doubt it would much for them to not want to go, especially when the chants and crowd are negative - like the football.

I simply pointed out our home results so far are better than any other league 2 team or they were until Saturday.

No you didnt. You said fans who only watch home matches have nothing to moan about. I must have missed the abundance of free flowing attacking football and chances created at home.

Until Saturday we had scored the same as Exeter andc2 less than Swindon at home so no lack of goals

No you didn't just say that at all.

    However, these are the facts.

No, we're now second points wise for home but in truth it's nothing to shout out about of a number of reasons:

    1) Our football is dire even at home
    2) Difference in points at home from us in 2nd to 10th is 5 points.
    3) We've scored the joint least out of the top ten best teams at home
    4) Teams have lost less games than us at home
    5) No point bashing on about home form when the away form is shocking!

For me we are a very backwards club, same old characters running this making the same old mistakes and implementing the same outdated ideas, going through the motions. Using twitter does not make you innovative and forward thinking. Our owners real intentions are not clear to me, I feel he should just sell up and go.

I used to be a true die hard with plenty of away grounds under my belt but these days i am sorry to say I really can’t be arsed too much with what’s become the chore of turning up, I have other interests in life and the ground is over an hour away, which gives me even less incentive to go to be bored and frustrated. I would be there every week if I was getting that buzz of match day and anticipation and a few goals and out of seat moments. a team to be proud of who would give everything for the shirt.

No longer will I give up a Saturday whilst the club take the piss and the football is this bad.

Football is a pastime, a hobby, a release from the daily grind. For a few years now it’s become a poor substitute for me in respect of our club. I can’t even have banter with work colleagues who support Sheffield Wednesday , Leeds, Huddersfield, because we are literally the worst football club in Yorkshire, getting turned over in a tin pot league and doing nothing in the cups. My best bet for a chat is the guy who supports Oldham.

my wife works in a school and there are a lot of young City supporters there, she used to tell me how she had heard the ‘Charlie Wyke’ name a lot, it made me feel chuffed hearing about those young supporters and city players names, I’m not hearing her say much about classroom city talk these days.

I really hope this club can start really appreciating and rewarding each and every one of its supporters again. A start would be some sort of statement ahead of a very important game tomorrow. To be honest If they are backing the manager it’s the least they owe him.

We really are plunging to new depths, I care not that we are doing better than we were in 1974, and our problems stem right from the top down. I tasted premier league with this club and it was fantasy land, but I think I enjoyed the championship season before it more, 16 goals from a winger, we saw GREAT Football.

Just really frustrating and you can’t really see an end in sight right now.

Would you rather have had Rahic running the club.

Rupp and Rhodes are nearly as bad!

It's a close call for me.

No of course not but it’s very very poor under Rhodes and Rupp too , akin to treading water and a complete guess as to where we are heading and the strategy, going nowhere fast would be my guess.
