Looking more and more like bad tactics. We’ve got the top scorer in the league and a very experienced Vaughan who has got a fairly decent goal return I think in a side that doesn’t create much.
Midfield is over loaded with some poor players but in the main looks strong especially with Reeves coming back in there.
Got options out wide in Connolly and Pritchard. Devitt still to come back and also Donaldson to push the front two.

it’s a strong squad and a big squad really.

Vaughan? He was the reason we didn't win today. Should have had a hat trick before they'd even scored. Shame none of the chances fell to the countrys leading scorer.

Nothing will change whilst we are in a play off spot
After watching us lose a 2 goal lead at home he was happy to point out that we got a point and moved up a place
GB in his comfort zone and the management dreaming of promotion means all is well
When (not if) we slip out of the play offs is the time something has to change we will then see what GB is made of

Felt City were lucky to finish up with a point, Scunny sliced through the passengers in midfield far too easily.

Cooke was the defensive mid with the static Akpan and useless Palmer in front??????
    Bowyer, WTF!!!
Their team looked younger and quicker, just missing a decent finisher.
Talking of which, should i contact the League Against Cruel Sports as re-calling in form Doyle then starving him of any quality ball is just madness.
    He has been Bowyered.
Send him back to Swindon so he continue to score goals for fun.
Maybe the gaffer needs to try the 5-5-0 formation as we dont need strikers if we dont create chances for them.

It's the second for me, mate.

Look, they're not world beaters but defo good enough for league two. The set up is so defensive and average.

Feels like decades ago Stuart was attacking from the start.

BowyerS really needs to hear the mood of the fans

    I agree.

He's getting like 2 chances a game though mate. I bet most league ONE teams would snap out hands off for a front two of Doyle and Vaughan. We're not playing to their strengths at all.

    To be fair, he scored.

It's nothing Doyle didn't do at Swindon, he missed chances but crucially scored as well.

Can't criticise Vaughan too much, he cemented a two goal lead.

    Should be straightforward from there.

not when connolly was introduced and we conceded the equaliser. scunthorpe were clearly on top at the time and dominating the ball when we were leading 2-1 playing 532 but their balls into the box were hardly difficult to defend against. changing to 442 led to gaping holes in the defence and midfield and us parting like the red sea. although we were having to soak up a lot of pressure it wasn't like they were peppering our goal with efforts and the 'keeper was pulling off worldie save after worldie.

I don't think 4 4 2 has been effective either, but not huge.

Doyle was by far the better of the two, an assist and what should have been an assist if Vaughan had bothered to shoot. Look at when he was subbed, very little reaction from the crowd.

Maybe not for long, anyone who saw today's poor performance can't disagree, both Palmer and Reeves were shocking at Crawley last week and I commented Bowyer must have flipped a coin to see who came off, but watching today he seems to have got off scot free, am I being harsh when I say Palmer must have pull out of 3/4 50/50 challenges, he didn't seem to want to know.
With that formation did he need a midfield three of Akpan, Cooke and Palmer, once Connolly and McCartan were introduced at least we looked more balanced, we got a point from a game that we deserved nothing from.
On the day I though all our ex-loan players performed very well, Miller running at our central defenders Gillead causing Wood plenty of problems and Lund and McAtee running midfield.

I agree Doyle played well, but I don't think Vaughan is the reason we drew.

We would have been out of sight I'd he had taken those chances though m8 and Bowyer wouldn't be getting half the stick he is. I agree most games he gets little to nothing though.

I am not sure what to say after watching that!!! I won’t go into detail about the players as I agree with most of what has been said.

It was diabolical beyond belief! Scunthorpe played us off the park on our crap pitch. They passed really well nearly always forwards. They were always first to the ball! (Unforgivably at home in my view)

We look like a side with no confidence or purpose. We are chaotic with no structure to our play it’s like watching kids, ‘ everyone back lads’ with poor Doyle our only outlet marked by 3 players! Our midfield is the worst I have seen in all my years of watching it is official. I have seen poor players in midfield but not all of them. You don’t get any sense of a game plan.
At the end of the first half we were firmly camped in Scunny half. I thought now is time to earn your crust Bowyer. Out they come and it was worse!!!! FFS what does he do or say!! Yes players have responsibility to perform under managers instructions but he also has a role to inspire players to be the best they can be.
I am now firmly convinced that we are not going to be promoted regardless of being 5th.
I am also not going to watch that crap until things improve, I might change my mind come Saturday but I doubt it.

Maybe a confident Vaughan takes those chances, can't do your confidence much good when your feeding off scraps every week.

I try not to single out players but hate to say I haven’t seen one game he’s been anything more than ok. Some said he was decent at Swindon, for the last 20 mins maybe, but first half terrible.

    How was Akpan today?
