    We've been in need of a proper, left footed, left winger for what seems like a few years now. That and another striker are about the only gaps imo.

    Hopefully by the home game against Scunthorpe on Saturday 18th January Bowyer will have near enough a full squad to pick from plus any wheeling and dealing he does, were moving in the right direction.

    Just watching liverpool game, with us having the Darby link and the pre season friendly should we be going klopp to try get a youth player on loan. I mean we need a better right back and that 18 yr old neco Williams looks like the next trent Alexander Arnold type full back

    You'd be amazed how much 18 year olds are on at top 4 clubs. It's very rare they drop lower than the championship for a loan move. Bet he's on more than we could afford.

    Yea but they must be something we could look at, maybe for next season. We never seem to plan long term as a club, if we got a good relationship with a club like liverpool now it could benefit us alot in long term

    But they have a player on loan at kidderminster harriers ? I agree it's not likely but why cant we ask even just for the future

    I’d hope whoever we sign are signed with one eye on next season, hopefully in league 1.

    We don’t need another mass turnaround of players again.

    We can ask but i can guess the answer. Reminds me of a time Edin was asking of players from a very big european club. You can guess the answer...

    They simply won't be interested in loaning to L2 clubs. Players are better off in their academy and once ready are loaned to the Championship or abroad. With the odd exception of L1.

    There is opportunities for league 2 teams to get a prem loanee now and again, regan Poole was at Newport last season from man utd

    Remember seeing the likes of Brewster, who came on today, in the pre season friendly at VP, and they already looked a level or two above league 2 standard, they would gain nothing playing at our level. Different scenario next season if we go up but even then Liverpool would be looking at clubs them mirror their ethos on the game. Remember Oxford having Brannigan on loan, Barnsley had Ryan Kent but these were not in the khazi league.

    I'm not saying just liverpool but u can get players from prem clubs in league 2. Sam Surridge at oldham last season from Bournemouth
