Funny that these new owners made similar comments to our new owners, they liked the way the club had been run in the past, I was not having a go at the system these clubs use but the way some go on it the be all and end all and its not.

 

In a word no, I personally be delighted to get no return on my £350, but then I can personally afford £350 many can't.

 

Out of respect for Rotherham we are waiting for the play off final to be over before we approach Barker

 

I do feel the number of jobs knocking about is having some effect on our appointment. It would be good if the likes of Sunderland and Barnsley could sort their managers out pronto.

 

Why?

If a manager can't buy into the vision of the owners or the owners won't change their minds then it's a poor appointment.

We need a manager that wants to be here.

 

Sunderland could be a good option for him. Have the potential to impact on the Champ if they go back up again. Not sure on Ipswich. They seem to have hovered around mid table for years. Can't see Swansea being after him. Theyve allegedly spoke.to de Boer!

 

Perhaps they could get the two managers we want which would really speed up our selection process.

 

Well, when a club like Sunderland is looking and they'll probably go straight back to the Champ AND be able to have a go at thw Champ next year I don't think any manger would commit to going anywhere until that job was taken and I wouldn't blame them to be honest. They need to do what's best for them as much as a player does.

Well then you need to think about how attractive we are.

Grayson thought we were attractive but has openly said how surprised he was by 'other things' which we can only guess at but be assured that comments like that from someone like him who is a known solid manager will be unhelpful for us.

His experience has probably made others wary and so to get to your point the type of manager that now WANTS to come is probably not of the standard you consider good enough. Others need convincing.

 

As in the past transfer markets we will wait as our targets are snapped up by others.
We may be left with no choice at all.
Arsenal etc have chosen their men and are getting them on board and they too have to get it right.
I can see this dragging on

 

The only managers who truly WANT to be here are ones who can't do any better.

Managers who have ambition will wait to see how things play out. The managerial merry-go-round hasn't even started to play out yet.

Rahic and Abbott in sole control of transfers makes me shiver.

My sentiments exactly. To a T. I feel exactly the same Onside, and I do think a lot more of the die hard fans will soon become disheartened. It’s such a shame, and I think it’s even harder to take because we were so very nearly there, and instead of tweaking what we had we’ve taken a huge step backwards, it cannot be denied.

No real aspirations for promotion this year. The 3 year plan now out of the window like many of the other assurances that were made. The gap between budgets and our ability to compete will increase year on year. I can’t see us being in the mix for promotion anytime soon. I really do fear for the club now. Gutted

 

With the delay in finding a head coach i dont think its McCann as he is hardly likely to have many clubs wanting his services.
Might be more of a current assistant coach waiting to become available(edin hasnt spoken to all the preferred candidats yet?-jayzus get working edin!)
Warburton will want a decent budget and if Parky and Grayson couldnt get one why will he.
