same here. Wanted to shift two together. Giving up my seat in the main stand to shift over to the midland rd & a bit further back from the pitch. Might give them a call next week so they can free my old seat up for anyone else.

Not a bad thing setting your targets high but if we don't get promoted we'll be lucky to reach this seasons figures.

As I posted to get near that figure promotion is a must, and as someone posted people have long enough to save si no need for it to be extended.
I would think its a given this has been discused and the cost of league one players that need bringing in, this wont be covered by an extra 6/7,000 fans so maybe Stefan is prepared to help finance the player budget again.

If/when we do get to league1 i expect the budget to be comparable with what Parkinson had in his final season. As you allude to 20,000 cheap tickets is only the equivalent of 10 to 12,000 at most other league 1 clubs in financial terms and as a sustainable club i don't see us pushing the boat out. Not that it is a pre requisite for fighting for promotion as Wycombe are currently showing, having as manager that can get the best out of his own squad of players can be successful. Sunderland have shown even at league 1 level that throwing money at it but not really having a plan to go with it can be self destructive. Pressure is now on Bowyer to get us out of this division at the first attempt.

Most league 1 clubs dont get 10 to 12000 though.

Cheap season tickets = lacking ambition?..dont buy it myself.

Since the cheap season tickets were introduced, we have usually had one of the top budgets in the league we have been playing in.

You are correct though, that teams like Burton and possibly Wycombe this season, havent needed the biggest budgets to get up to the Championship

Good points re Wycombe and Burton, amazing what an affect a good positive management and a will to win can have, doesn't always need money to be thrown at it...

Where does it say lacking ambition? Every club has a level of ambition, ours just happens to be low for the vast majority of our existence. Our situation of cheap tickets was first born of desperation in league 2 where it was pretty much a last throw of the dice. The cheap ticket scenario has been generally well respected amongst the football fraternity, it has to be beneficial to have a large supporter base but long term they are too cheap to a point where you are virtually giving them away. Hopefully when out of this awful division the prices will go up accordingly to around £200-£225 mark which is more realistic yet still way better value than pretty much the entire league.

Wycombe is another very good example of stabilty, Ainsworth has been there since 2012 building that squad, who'd have though Akinfenwa at 37 would be have around still scoring for them in league one.
I would hope Bowyer getting us out of league two was always the clubs goal.

Looking a good bet for autos if they can keep that form up. Showing that big fan bases and history mean bugger all. Go back past the mid nineties and Wycombe are a non descript non league club. Ainsworth is showing his pedigree and i'll be surprised if a championship club doesn't take a chance on him.

Agree with all that mate, and Im sure Ainsworth is an ambitious manager but as we have seen managers can work miracles at one club but fail at other clubs.

Good point, all about circumstances. Just look at Jones who was at Luton. Didn't last two minutes at Stoke. Makes me want to say to Bowyer, just let the reigns out a bit. Results are good and we have some decent players for league 2, let's go for 12 points from the next four games and lay down a marker.

If that's his target then he needs to tell his manager to start playing entertaining football. Whether it's getting results or not, if people are being bored to tears most weeks watching us, they'll soon find more enjoyable things to do on a saturday.

I've heard that comment so many times, last season was a disaster for the club yet once again the loyal Bradford City fans turn out en masse to both home and away games, yes we have cheap season tickets but fans pay the going rate away and still usualy give the opposition teams there biggest gate of the season when we play them.
If nothing changes with regards Bowyers formations and we still achieve the clubs goal of promotion will you not purchase a season ticket for next season ?.

I wrote about this earlier in the season (October ?). A 10% annual increase would move ahead of inflation, but in sinc with football, whilst still remaining good value 10 years from now.

I will, because I'll always be there. But that's not the case for a lot of fans I know.

I'll always purchase one, but if you want to gain those supporters who were here a couple of years back when we was getting 18-20k we will need to be playing a good brand of football or offer free beer. The latter unlikely.

I'm not too sure how we would get those back who haven't renewed for a few years now, other than play good football to get the crowd of their seats. This isn't a dig at GB by the way.
