We are where we forecast to be in a play off place why would Mr Rupp invest more money into something that he considers to be working ?? Don't forget he has no interest in football and will see our league position as satisfactory Regardless of the turgid relentlessly boring football on display being in a play off spot is at the moment hampering our chances Should we get promoted under GB does anyone think this style of play will win more than a handful of matches in D1 Not advocating to get rid now but Doyle's scoring prowess and the decline in Vaughans form suguest he isn't tactically anywhere good enough for L1

Maybe sacking a manager when in the play off places and replacing him with another who wouldn’t have wanted the existing players is a bad call. I mean it’s not like we haven’t tried that before? With such a successful conclusion....

It may be frustrating at present but some peoples default is SACK THE MANAGER as we regularly see.

Facts are these are Bowyers players so why wouldn’t you give him the opportunity to deliver promotion. Remember sacking bowyer means paying him off too. Leaving the next manager with less cash as well. But many fans position is so short term. A sad sign of the times. Not a case of no ambition. We all want promotion. But one of no patience. Parky 1 in 21? But the same fans wanted him out too.

 

With respect to a club legend, McCall has had 2 spells as a manager, and not once could he achieve promotion.

What is the sense of sacking a manager who is in a strong position to get us promoted in his first full season, to make way for a manager who failed miserably in his last job at Scunny?. Doesnt make one bit of sense to me

We've the squad to go up already so money in January isn't a problem. Just get Doyle back with a mangager that can get the best out of attacking players.

Bowyer hasn't proved himself at the club so how anyone can defend him is beyond me!

 

It would be bonkers to suggest sacking a manager who has just got you promoted.

 

City's league position is a good start to defending Bowyer. The way you constantly attack Bowyer, you would think we were languishing in mid table, or worse.

 

Why? Its debatable whether his style of football and approach to games will be successful in league 2 but if we play like this and be so negative in league 1 we'll come straight back down. MK Dons showed this season you should recognise when league 2 is a manager's level.

Squad already good enough so January isn’t a problem? In what way do we money to burn or we don’t need any additions?
Get Doyle back and appoint someone else to get Doyle scoring for us. Who? As you always criticise the clubs choice. Who would get the best out of Doyle and get us promoted.
As bowyer is currently getting us at least in the playoffs when many fans expected us to be lower in the division recovering from Edins shit show last season.

He’s picking up points but not in the style we want to see. You’re like a petulant child who gets want he wants, then wants something else when he gets it. It wouldn’t matter who was in charge, how many goals we scored, how much money we spent, you’d never be happy. You change your opinion like the wind changes direction. Have patience and grow up.

I’m not a fan of the football on offer but I certainly think we’re one of the top 3 teams in this league. Bowyer has reunited the club and genuinely wants to bring the pride back, which he’s doing. Only the other day in a different post, you were praising him for his man management skills. He’s brought stability back to the club and you want to rock the boat by hiring the 8th manager in under 3 years, all because he’s not playing a style that suits you....

You were wrong about Reeves and wrong about Wright (lol).

Bowyer has improved O’Connor and Wood, made the defence more cohesive and been unlucky in that the injuries have hit in the middle and top of the pitch. Give him a chance with the next window to move some on and bring in more of his own, then hopefully we’ll cement our place in the top 3.

 

At the moment i'm indifferent to Bowyer although he is gradually beginning to grate with me more and more with his tactics and substitutions. Despite injuries, the players we have at our disposal and the absolute rubbish i've watched from the vast majority of teams in this division then automatic promotion should be the order of the day.

Look a club to move forward has to have targets. The target has to be an automatic spot. In truth we should be winning this league but an automatic spot is fair.

Finishing in the play off ps is a risk. A massive risk and yes of course it would be good to go up that way if given another bite of the cherry but massive question marks will still hang over Bowyer if he is the right man to take the club forward and I feel he would be sacked within six months of the following season.

Anything but automatic spots is failure. Some are using we're currently 5th as a praise and this league is awful but yet our manager can't even find tactics to beat a poor LO team.

I'm questioning already if he is the man for the club. The club doesn't need a Bowyer! Season ticket sales will fall and them Edin stay away won't come back.
