I haven't as of yet but I'm going to Macclesfield and Orient which is my benchmark with the money it's going to cost me a few weeks before xmas. If they play in the labored way they have been under Bowyer's shackles, that will be my trigger point. Can't stand percentage football so unnecessary when you have some good footballers in the side. Look so much more dangerous when you get Cooke on the ball up the field and our wingers hugging the touchline. Vaughan has built a career getting on the end of crosses, why Bowyer wants him as a battering ram target man is mind boggling?

 

I get all of that, it is frustrating and it can be painful. I don't go that often away as I haven't the time or money so hopefully a win will ease the burden near Xmas.

To be fair, it’s a shithouse league and we have a shithouse manager, but, his remit is to get us out of this league. Champagne football is not going to happen. Sack him next year in League One.

Oh without a doubt, whether we go up or not this season we need to replace him in the summer.

 

If that was the case we should have given him a 12 month rolling contract, if after getting us up both he and our club win, we can bring in another manager if the club think that's his limit, or Bowyer has another promotion on his CV.
I personally think if he were to get us promoted we have to give him until the end of his contract, he would have had 2 closed season transfer markets and two January market we owe him that for a promotion.

 

As much as we are frustrated with the football and questions loom over his style of play. I suspect Rupp & Rhodes will not call time on the Bowyer era ?. Yet theres no guarantee we will escape this dreadful League to return the club to a League we at least should aspire to ?. I think they will just allow us to "bore on" in the stubborn hope that holding fort at VP and stalemating out games away will be enough ?

It may well prove to be ? The league is just poor but we manage to do "poor" as well so there are no guarantees. Players are coming back and that will help us keep blustering on. But theres nothing that tells me that we are suddenly going to up the gears and becoming a free flowing free scoring force. That includes if we haul back Doyle ! who in my view and I am sure his ?. Should be sold to the highest bidder in January as he will not prospere here with the current coaching regime.

So for me Bowyer will hold on; and there will be a bit of a squad reshuffle in January. Not much but couple out couple in ? Then its more bungling on hoping to cling on to a play off place and a trip to Wembley in May ? If that is where it all ends up then to me in this league its been a poor season. Arriving at Wembley with a 50-50 chance of escaping this league is nothing to rejoice over. That means we will have only half a chance of getting the job done ? And theres nothing in the character of the collective of the coaching staff and players convinces me we would ?

 

Never understand when fans think that owners won't sack a manager. Rupp will sack Bowyer if he wants too.

Rupp and Rhodes will be concerned at this minute. Concerned not because we are in 5th but concerned we play utter rubbish football which is a turn off to the fans and we struggle to beat the rubbish teams in the division.

Bowyer could well get the boot if Rhodes and Rupp feel he can't take the club forward.

Also understand Doyle banging in nearly 20 goals isn't helping Bowyer with some doubting he could get the best out of him like Swindon are doing. This makes Bowyer look an extremely poor manager.

If we're not top 3 by the end of the year don't be shocked to see Bowyer sacked the club can't afford to risk not going up and poor season ticket renewals.

 

Even though I said I dont think the will ? I am with you on your assessment. Time will tell ? The clocks ticking and I think if Rupp & Rhodes were to "twist" they have to do it before the transfer window is out in January and before Doyle is hauled back ??. For me re-instating Stuart and Doyle back is a very tempting proposition. We need more energy; passion; season ticket sales and progressive football
Stuart brings all that in spades !

Yeap pretty much ....always a place for Stuart at City no matter the when or how ? Rhodes knows this and Rupp I strongly suspect.

If it is to happen then it has to be done as much as I think GB is a decent man and has conducted himself entirely well in office...aside from the football ? The players need picking up and now to me is the right time.

 

I was watching Monday next football with Rafa the other week and he talked about percentage based football and how it does work or really matter. Saying that the highest percentage of goals comes from 3 touches of the ball. Says managers become obsessed with percentage based when really the ball is just being past sideways and not forwards(take note Jake Reeves). Bowyer tactics are painful viewing and I feel for fans paying big money to follow Bradford City at this time. Wasting money.

Bowyer kills the game with his tactics. It's mega boring to watch and I think he will get sacked if he continues to play this way.
