Looks like Doyle might be injured. Wellens has said a "serious injury to one of our key players" a player thats "playing really well" and will be out long while.

If it is Doyle out for the rest of the season you guys can ha e him back no problem!

 

Very convenient, what's the chances of him of him making a miraculous recovery once the window passes? Could it not be Yates?

 

According our fans on how vital Doyle is to Swindon, you must be relegation fodder now.

 

Should they lose doyle for whatever reason there's no chance they make automatics.

 

We do have Yates on 11 goals, and he scored two last weekend.

I still think we would go up without Doyle what ever you may say, all of our team is firing on all cylinders atm. So hopefully we can keep the form up and put some distance between us and 4th.

 

Doyle has nearly scored half your goals, its ludicrous to think he wouldn't make a huge difference not playing. I think you'd get playoffs without him but autos would be out of reach.

I would think it depends on the injury, like Devitt's injury he went back to Blackpool where they can make sure he's not rushed back.
Similar with Jake Reeves long term injury, Bowyer was instrumental in the way Jake was nursed back, yet some thought the best way to rehabilitate Jake was to loan him out.

This one sounds bad according to Swindon's media release.
If it's Doyle then surely City will go live with the news after all we still hold his registration.
Unless Bradford are honouring some news blackout regarding Doyle on Swindon's request till Saturdays game against Oldham, ironically one of Doyle's ex employers.
Fact is we don't know it's Doyle for sure.

With it being a key player it's probably so that whoever they play on Saturday doesn't get a massive boost in the days before the game and also will want to keep them guessing until 2pm on Saturday.

 

If Doyle was out injured for the rest of the season, as it is a season long loan, surely Swindon will still have to keep paying their share of his wages as per the loan contract

 

Would depend if there was a clause in it that allowed them to cancel the deal. Wellens must be getting a bit of deja vu if it is Doyle as when he was manager at Oldham Doyle picked up a blood clot around this time which kept him out for a few months, on that occasion the loan was up in january but they extended it until the end of the season knowing he couldn't play until late March.

 

Assuming it is Doyle it does make you wonder if Swindon are trying to pull a fast one by saying he's injured so City don't recall him then he makes a miraculous recovery when the window closes, or is it just my devious mind.
