Hopefully Wrexham will offer him a 3 year deal on the back of it.

Not a bad level to restart his career, many have had to step down in order to step back up, good luck to the kid.

Another example of an unwanted attacking player leaving the club and banging them in elsewhere.

Doesn't seem to matter how poor strikers are,
playing for us, once they move on, they start
    scoring for fun!

It's us,we must coach it out of them....

Ive said this before, we have one of the smallest pitches (in width) in the league, this does not help strikers

historically we have NEVER been a high scoring team at home, most wins are 1-0 and so on

I know some of you say this doesnt matter but the stats dont lie

it is a fact that we have one of the LONGEST pitches in the EFL but also one of the LEAST WIDE pitches in the EFL

at 70 yards have 10 YARDS less width than the widest pitches which is 80 yards, 68 is the narrowest

But equally we have one of the LONGEST PITCHES...

This is not striker friendly at all!

defences are tighter & equally due to the length of pitch have more time to get back from a counter attack

nearly every striker that leaves us goes on a massive scoring spree, haha infact its not funny, its very annoying!

Narrow pitch didnt stop Ham and Bannister, Gilly and Ingram, Sir Bobby and Hawley, Mills and Blake, Wells and Hanson though did it. Those successful striking partnerships over the years all had one thing in common, wingers or attacking midfield players supplying them.

I see the point you are making but the size of the penalty
box is the same everywhere and that's where most goals are
scored so pitch size argument doesn't add up.Back in the day
Bronco Layne scored 34 in one season,Bobby Campbell
scored loads for us.I don't know if a striker coach is the answer
but we need to address this lack of goals.

Winning games by as many goals as possible is what fans want
    to see.

Could be Drury Bronco, but this is happening too often for
something not to be wrong with our coaching. If we had
Doyle's goals this season we would be clear top and coasting!

We need two things to happen:
    1) We need to get the wider players coming more central when play is on the other side of the pitch, thus helping Vaughan and giving defenders more to think about, and
    2) the midfielders (and also the wide players) need to take a chance and have a shot at goal from further out. How many times do we see them in a position to shoot but they pass the ball to someone else?

Why do we use the Doyle situation as a marker to our coaching abilities.
Why not accept we are in a very good position to get at least a playoff place and some of our longer termed injuries are coing back, that would suggest to me overall our manager and coaches are doing fine.
Reading todays T&A we could have a healthy starting 11 and quality to come of the bench by Christmas, then we can judge them IOM.

This is the thing, we don't need Doyle's goals - we need Doyle's chances.

Doyle misses as many bad opportunities as Donaldson and Vaughan - but he gets more chances.

Anyone who thinks that's down to Doyle is delusional.

He's the same player he was when he was here.

And he's also a far accomplished finisher than you give him credit for?

Fact is Jon, Doyle has made you look like a right prat although I admire your persistence to suggest otherwise. It's both tragic and hilarious at the same time.

Never once did I say he was a bad finisher.

Some did last season - but not me.

    So, no, he hasn't :)

your commitment to criticising what is clearly the best striker in the league has to be applauded really.
What you say could not be more wrong but fair play for sticking with it.
