He’s talking rubbish ignore it. If we had a league game Tuesday I might agree, but players should be playing once a week for match sharpness. Imo we made a slow start against Exeter because we didn’t play the Saturday before, we need to play a strong team with maybe a couple of changes like Paudie and Mellor, no more than that.

 

Just because you man utd fans boycotted the competition a few years back does not mean us Bradford city fans feel the same. More money for the promotion party.

You've seen the injuries we currently got plus now people are using it as an excuse.

We're making hard work of an awful league but some how in an automatic spot which is great.

We've all away games in the league this month and a busy December. This Micky mouse game is perfect to rest a high number of players and get some match fitness in some of them.

It's an awful draw and a for me if we get knocked out this round then fine. No big loss and it could be a benefit come the end of the season.

Look,last season was a failure and we have to have one aim-Going up automatically!

Lets just forfeit the tie, according to some we’re already beat.

 

We have been unlucky with injuries but as idle says some have come in training, it’s just part of the parcel of football. I won’t cry if we get knocked out, and it’s somewhat of a free hit.


However it’s a good chance to test ourselves against a team in the division where we want to be next season, and could be a confidence booster should we win. If it were on a Tuesday it would be a different situation but should we get knocked out it just means an extra training session or behind closed door game which is pointless.

I’d personally rather the club add to the coffers if possible and potentially get a good 3rd round tie than spend a Saturday doing nothing next month, but each to their own.

 

We should treat it as another league game, the players could just as easily get injured playing a practice match or a training session so go into the cup match with same mentality as a league game. A saturday without a game is actually counterproductive to the squad.

 

I suggested similar, as the Macc game was rained off. We were fortunate that Exeter were not at their scoring best, last week.

Got to play as strong a team as possible now not just for giving players minutes but also so we give ourselves as good a chance as possible of not having another week off at the end of the month.
Even without that I'd still say to play a strong team as it's no lose situation, if we lose then it's expected and if we win that builds some great momentum and confidence.
