He was on the bench and warming up, last night was an ideal chance to give him 20 or 50 minutes ìf we equilised or why put him on the bench, sorry mate cant agree.

 

Benches are bigger these days. You can name subs that you can be fairly sure aren't going to get on. GB's gone on about his leadership skills and obviously thinks this is someone he wants around the match day squad. Maybe he thought if the games effectively dead with 15mins ago they'd be an opportunity. I don't really know his thinking but if there's one think I've learnt about GB he doesn't rush players back. Good god he's spent half a season getting Ismail up to speed and he's still only getting bit parts here and there.

 

Well what is there to say that has not already been said. We are turning Vaughan into this seasons Doyle. Hitting long balls up to him with him there all on his own and no one else anywhere near him. Oteh out wide is just a waste of a player, he hasn't the instincts to play the position. Either he needs to play down the middle alongside Vaughan or don't play him. Also something needed changing at half time, we were getting overrun in midfield with their wingbacks having plenty of room out wide. As has been said it took until 10? minutes after we went a goal behind before anything happened when GB changed the system and played with 3 centre backs pushing the two full backs up on them. At least then we showed a bit of attacking mindset, unfortunately Shrewsbury were too good at seeing the game out.

 

You're correct about Bowyer being very methodical with regards bringing players back, but last night was a great opportunity to give Reeves game time.
We had no cover on the bench last night if one of our strikers got injured, Vaughan was coming back from injury so why put Reeves on the bench if as your suggesting Bowyer was not going top play him.
