Do a deal with Swindon for him to stay with them. I can't see him coming back playing for us in a positive manner. Hopefully Gary and Stefan can sort this out and with the money strengthen the team and push on for promotion.

 

He's gone and yes he's scoring but Swindon still have the same goal difference as us. Our team is scoring and we are seeing the likes of Connolly, Cooke, Ismail, Pritchard all contributing to the team. I'd rather we stuck with them than recall a player that gave us next to nothing and looked very unhappy under 3 different managers.

Our problem is getting our strikers to score rather than another clubs striker.

Stick or twist situation.

Recall him and he rocks the boat, looks uninterested, doesn't want to be here and changes the way we play. Stick with what we've got. I doubt he'd come back with a better attitude on the pitch.

We should offer the choice to Swindon, Sign him and pay his wages in full for a small fee, Or send him back, We then have the choice to offer him elsewhere or keep him, All the options are in our favour if we are smart enough

 

Why do people make up stories about Doyle's attitude just because he wasn't pulling up trees?

It's almost like the Brexit debate with the amount of spin people use to try and rewrite history.

 

He may not want to come back, but as he is still contracted to us Bowyer and co will have to make the decision that they feel is the best for Bradford City.
First for me would be getting Swindon to pay all his wages.
Let him go on a free if Swindon wanted him, maybe they would offer him a 2 year deal to compensate for lower wages.
Bring him back and hope when played he keeps his goal scoring record up.
Allow him to stay af Swindon and hope in doing so he helps Swindon beat our rivals.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it and the club are happy with the status quo, a player who does not want to be at Valley Parade and might be a distraction within the dressing room.

Doyle's attitude/application/effort/yards wasn't an issue. Both Hopkin and Bowyer publically praised his work rate.

No he didn't deliver what we would have liked and he certainly missed some very takeable chances but there were certainly mitigating circumstances.

As a last point though I'll give you an example. Look at the comments about Anthony O'Connors attitude and performances this year compared to last?

 

How Doyle managed to fool some people into thinking he worked hard, I'll never know.

Yes, he ran at players. No, he had no intention of challenging. Yes, he jumped for headers. No, he never tried to legitimately win those headers.

It was just for show. To look like he was trying. There was no real effort there. None.

 

We have 2 choices - recall him or leave him. Simple as that really isn't it.

And Wood isn't a left back.

 

Why would two consecutive managers praise that particular aspect if he wasn't.
