How do we know Cook/Devitt wasn't signed instead of Cooper?

I don't see us going for another wide man. We have enough for a 442 and 433. Cook and Devitt can both play wide if need be. As can Wood, Gibson, Ismael coming back...

 

I think possibly a striker and that will be it for this window

 

Seems ridiculous to think we'd be in for a left winger when we have several existing players who can do that job.
Striker and/or DM surely the priority.

 

At least we have someone in charge who fully appreciates that rather than someone who let us go way over the budget that was set and didn't tell the money man.

He was when he was in league 2 with crewe. Not really happened for him at posh though.

Is Akpan, for example, wishful thinking for most fans, but really in his plans actually. I was as surprised as most when Anderson was offered a contract, and I dont see where he fits in, now we have added 2 more midfield players

 

It does but when they can sell players regularly for £5m+ I don't think they'll care about a few which don't work out.

Was just thinking who else we would maybe try shift on. Riley on good money but out for season. Akpan would be my first choice.

O’Connor can’t be on bad money but he has been superb so far.

 

They waste a lot of the money they earn, and their recruitment policy has never led to league success - if I were a Peterborough fan I'd be getting a bit tired of the turnover of star players to no obvious beneficial end.

They are the ultimate in treading water, while making other fans envious.

I don't agree really, whilst they do waste a bit I don't think its a lot and the profits they make are still astronomical for a league one club. And to be fair they've had championship football more recently than the majority of other clubs in league one and two so its not like they've had no recent success. Plus I think their failures in the last couple of seasons is down to poor managers rather than players.

Honestly, I don't think it would fly here, City fans are far, far too impatient (read: 'ambitious').

Agree, I wouldn't be too happy if we were making that level of money off the pitch and weren't consolidated in the championship on the pitch.
