That’s another one that TCA had over a week or so ago I believe. They’ve been spot on with transfer news of late tbf.

 

We're losing season ticket holders and if you think many will want to see div 2 football again after next season then you need to have a word with yourself.

We should have enough to get out of this league and that all we want for now.. Don't we?

 

Is he the self proclaimed guy or is he just trying to help? He doesn't needs Fordy calling him out about loads of crap that he has nothing to do with.

 

The club should put on a ambition motivation course really for all fans due them relegating the team to League 2.

 

I think a clapping course would be good too because we are all happy to have a club to support.

 

I'd be happy enough with Shay as our 4th choice.

I think he will keep Akpan and O'Connor. Very poor last season but they are both better than L2 and their careers are proof of that.

 

Any club who get relegated will lose season ticket holders but clubs who have been relegated won't have 13,000 of them.

You're talking like we've not signed or won't be signing anymore players, you're talking about players you know nothing about and about a team that will be totally different to last seasons. We saw League 2 football for long enough before Parky came and the fans were still there every week.

Nobody wants it but its the reality.

 

BB I thought he (GA) mentioned he would take things to the club from here? Or am I confused? Fordy can be blunt, but he wants what's best for our club as we all do.

I said we're moving in the right direction but we now need to start acting bigger.

Do you really think signing the players on 1 year contract isn't a sign we will be going for it? We can't afford to be in this division more than a year. We need to go for it and everything points to that we're which is great news.

If we wanted the patient route then we should of brought in a younger manager we brought in Bowyer as he knows what it takes to get out of this leage.

So you carry on being patient and thinking we can afford to be.

 

Although I agree with your post @marshy77 I think we will be seeing just what Bowyer brings to the club hopefully around Christmas possibly before, we have yet to get Vaughan/O'Connor to put pen to paper but the very idea that we could compete for those type of players makes me optimistic for the coming season.

 

I am pleased with our progress this summer. Bowyer is firmly in control of transfers and the strategy behind it - plus it seems Rupp is backing him. No reason why we cannot bounce back - Portsmouth, Blackpool and Bury all did in very similar circumstances to ourselves.


On a side note, Sheff Utd and Brighton are both in for McBurnie.

True. He's spoken about using the transfer windows so it looks already that he may keep some of the budget in reserve in case we need it in January.

 

The money is going straight back to Rupp for McBurnie so I wouldn't worry about that.

 

You don't know that to be true, purely speculation on your part.

 

That's fine. No issue with that. The club have paid their debts and we can borrow again from Rupp when in need.

City fans definitely don't need a clapping course. I saw hundreds of seals clapping that shite off at the end of last season.
