The fact is, irrespective of who the players were, they released 13 players plus a further 7 players out on loan. They replaced those with 14 new players and another 6 loanees. Effectively replacing 20 players in their squad with a new 20.

We’ve currently signed 1 up from last season and 3 new players. Not in the same level.

As you say, the average wage is around £1700 meaning we would be able to bring in ‘almost’ 10 average players. So how the hell do we manage to sign 5 average and 5 good from the same money? We’re going to get the 5 good players to sign on the same money as the average ones?

And let’s not forget, we’ve already spent over £230k on the 4 players already signed,

 

Grimsby are bottom end league two

Look at Forest Green, who finished 21st in 2017/18 and 5th this season.

Or look at Shrewsbury in League1 in recent seasons. Struggled to stay up in consecutive seasons but almost gained automatic promotion last season. A good manager with the right blend of players can surpass all expectations.

 

I think you may have heard something about relegations and mixed up the 2.

You’re right that 3 teams he’s started the season with, had been relegated at the end of that season. But on 2 of those occasions, he was transferred by his clubs during the January transfer window. Thus not necessarily his choice to leave and certainly not because they had been relegated.

He’s also been at 3 clubs that finished with a promotion, although played little to no part in their success.

 

Who held up someone’s National League appearances? I merely listed what games he had played throughout his career.

Give me the numbers, I don’t want rumours, promises to underwrite an overdraft, stories in the T&A, what he and Edin paid for the club etc. Give me evidence of the cash Rupp has transferred in to Bradford City Football Club Ltd or BC Bantams Ltd after buying the club, you can DM me if you prefer, it won’t go any further, you have my word. If you’re going to make bold statements like that, you need to back it up or be called out for it.

I don’t know if he’s disinterested. But to date he’s certainly been incompetent.

 

Can’t disagree, I’ve not seen a huge amount even since Edin left, Rhodes is arguably a safe pair of hands but he’s got a chequered history. It needed someone a bit more visionary after seeing the club through to the end of the season.

 

How do you know that the seasons 2 months away

 

Any keeper would have looked rubbish behind our pathetic defence last season.

Yet the same keeper was rated as a good league one keeper before we signed him so why has he become so crap since joining us ?
