I think you've misunderstood my point I was trying to make which was that signing players on a freebie can sometimes cost more than paying an actual transfer fee so we shouldn't get too excited about us paying a transfer fee

If it hadn’t been for his 2 goals against Stockport when Jacko was in charge we might have been playing non league the season after. Plus not forgetting that last minute Gareth Evans goal that won the game, my god just remembering that squad sends a shiver down my spine, absolutely shocking they were.

 

Pleased with this signing, no big outlay as he’ll be on scraps

My only worry is he stood out in a friendly in ‘last years’ team, think about that for a minute

6' 2" he replied to someone on twitter, another big lad .

 

Needed some height for years sounds promising

 

Darragh MacAnthony stating on twitter they had scouted the lad 6/7 times, felt he wasn't right for L1/ Champ yet but commenting that Bradford have a made a good signing with potential. Said patience needed so could be someone who develops as he gains experience. Got to scout the non leagues, by the time the players gain a reputation in the EFL they are out of our price range.

 

In terms of wages etc compared to potential reward it’s a risk worthwhile making

A good prospect but we desperately need a proven central defender, e.g someone who we can be 85% certain will do the job and be a good player in that division. Our last time out in league two we signed McArdle and Davies, we knew Davies from being on loan with us but I remember being reasonably sure that McArdle would be a good signing. Hopefully we can get rid of O'Connor and bring in a center back that we know we can depend on. A Richards-Everton & French defensive combo could turn out to be decent at league two level, but it could also turn out to be one of the worst defenses in the league, too many unknowns about them to say.

 

let,s hope the "lad" works out well for city .

 

If we can offload O’Connor and persuade Paudie to come back along with an experienced pro a la Killa, I would be happy with that central defensive line up.
