I'm not sure anyone is saying we should be reliant on it, just that it could provide a welcome financial boost if it happened.

 

Yep given we have no confirmation from the club there is an actual sell on clause. Will be disappointed if one was not agreed by Messrs Rhodes and Lawn when they offloaded him.

 

It shouldn't be a problem, Rupp should be fixing what he allowed to go wrong regardless. If he knows the money is coming he should be putting some money in..

 

I've no problem with that mate. Just would rather he come out and say it.

He should be putting money in anyway. That's what football owners do and should be doing.

 

Mybe doing a good due dilligence, and reading up on our clubs history (not just the Phil Parkinson years) before buying our club could have told him owning Braford City one goes with the other.

Yep and little Bradford City survived our first season in the Premiership but then got found out, now I agree Wolves are a vastly different case they have massive finance behind them, but I bet they dont finish 7th or above next season even with all the brass they have.

 

I believe @wetherbywhaler is just assuming we got a sell on clause for McBurnie because we always got them in the past. However when Swansea came in for him and offered 300k Lawn would have bit their hand off for a Bradford City reserve and never mind sell on clauses. Hope I’m wrong but a few seem to be saying there is no sell on.

 

If true they’ll be some very disgruntled fans with the club. Roger Owen himself who was involved with the board at the time of the sale says different as do our two local papers who you’d think would just ask Rhodes as he was also involved.

The club have lied plain and simple if we don’t have a clause, this time Rahic and Rupp aren’t to blame.

 

What's to say that the sale of Oli McBurnie, which may be used to cover Swansea's debt, won't be used in the exact same way here at Valley Parade.

Assuming their actually is a sell on clause!

They didn't offer 300K though. The fee was much less and reportedly only hit around 200K if McBurnie played enough to activate the add ons.

 

They're no rumours at this stage and people are just throwing names out which is pointless

 

The lad sold by Bristol City is a left back too

 

It actually wasn’t a lot less and doubled in value with add ons
