You are a wit aren't you?
I actually agree with you and get what you are saying but I too would also like the stripes back.
Some of my favourite City teams over the years didn't wear stripes. Promotion and the cup win at Norwich both under Bobby Kennedy in a white kit. The team under Roy McFarland wore white, the team that Trevor Cherry and Terry Yorath had success with wore white. And that never to be forgotten day away to Wolverhampton Wanderers........white.

Most of our best days have been in a white kit, Not that we ever learn, Take L666ds played in the lower divisions in blue and yellow then along comes Revie and changes the kit to all white and the rest is history.

So over the last thirty years:
    • We were promoted in 96 in Claret and Amber Stripes
    • In 1998/9 promoted to the Premiership with a home kit of claret and amber stripes.
    • Two seasons in the Premiership wearing Claret and Amber Stripes (awfully coloured Rhubarb and Custard)
    • 2012/13 season Claret and Amber (Hoops), Wembley twice.
Yes L666ds play in ‘white’, but despite bing a very very ‘Big Club’ (Quasi Champions League Winners don’t you know), have languished in the Championship for fifteen years, despite wearing white. So wearing white is really helping them!

The nearest thing to a Premiership team winning the Premiership in White were.......?

Forget White, leave that to the one off, Real Madrid!

Claret and Amber in stripes is Bradford City!

Only from 1960/61 season mate when Leeds under Revie just missed dropping down to the old division three, so Revie implemented a youth policy and a change of kit colour to an all-white strip in the style of the great Real Madrid

I assume everyone is aware that whatever our kit is for next season, it will have been decided months ago.

I remember James Mason saying that kit designs have to be signed off by at least December for the following season.

I hope it’s stripes. It will go a long way to getting rid of the ghost of Edin.

Too right. And in the year I first starting going to VP as a tiny kid, promotion from Div 4, with claret and amber stripes on the backs of Bobby Ham, John Hall, Bruce Stowell, Brucie Bannister, Norman Corner et al. Club tradition is all about heritage and memories. It's why we continue, against all the odds, to be fans. And these things do matter.

Far to simple and silly to say Leeds’ success under Revie down to changing the kit to white, maybe it had an effect but I’m pretty sure there’s more to it than that. The 3 most successful clubs in English football history all wore red, though Arsenal have some white. The current best team wear blue, in fact I can’t think of any successful teams that currently play in white in England ( even the country’s had no success with the colour).

For every Revies Leeds there are far more examples that prove its nonsense. The likes of Bury and Tramere just off the top of my head.

It’s the players playing in the bloody thing that counts!

Nah, don’t you know, it wasn’t the likes of Michu, Hernandez, etc that beat us to the 2013 League Cup. It was the kit colour that they played in

Couldn’t agree more. Bradford City are synonymous with Claret and Amber stripes. We need our identity back. It’s a really good and simple marketing opportunity also.

Initially the comment Trevor made but also those that seem to think there’s something in that theory and all our successful sides came in white, just because we played in white against Wolves doesn’t mean we did most of the season.
