How many did we sell this season?

    Was it under 14,500?

I will renew the 2 I have. I actually don't care what league we are in.

On the overall renewal numbers. I genuinely believe we are currently carrying a significant number of people who have only recently bought into the club.

There are two reasons for this
    A. Over the past 5 or 6 years we have had overall a good run (Cups, promotion, Wembley trips, Playoffs etc) this has attracted a large number of people.
    B. Cheap season tickets. In addition to A. the actual cost of attending is pretty small when compared to other 'entertainment'.

However we are now on the wrong side of the bell curve and those 'newbies' are falling away.

I do understand that a number of 'long term' supporters are also not renewing but I would wager that if we could survey those not renewing we would find that the majority are supporters who have only recently (the last 5/6 years) become regulars at Valley Parade and started to be season ticket holders.

Why are you & others focusing on Harrogate? I've been 3 times, I've been to loads of other clubs this season. Its nothing to do with ST prices if l didn't bleedin buy one!

I think you are right but that means the "leavers" are baulking at paying a measly £150. Yet the "remainers", happy to pay whatever (generally) can't believe their luck.

I've always supported the cheap ST deal but it was originally sold by the " Messiahs " return and the biggest uptake was after a play off campaign. You can't "sell" that deal after one of the worst seasons in history.

Uber fan alert. You come through loud & clear, as usual, as short sighted and dense as they come. Those fans are the clubs future

The fans who only turn up when we are vying for promotion are the club’s future, ha ha. Ok, never mind, I will leave you to Harrogate Town. Not sure they deserve you either.

Not sure any club needs a fan like you. FYI it's Lincoln City next then Farsley Celtic, that'll be 2 clubs I've seen more than Harrogate this season, something to focus your life on.

Well City have me like it or not. Actually, the only time I wouldn’t attend is if they get relegated to the non leagues, but we would probably be out of business.

I think one of the things about your position, which seems to be a totally ‘dual standard’, is that you rant on about not going to watch City in League Two, yet you go to Lincoln (League two) and Harrogate (National Conference) and Farsley (Northern Premier League).

To ‘come on strong’ about City in League two, yet to go to these clubs seems somewhat hypocritical.

If you have fallen out of love with City and fancy a bit of alternative Lower and Non League Football ‘on the side’, at least be honest!

    Basically cut the .................

Because your willing to go Harrogate but not city because of the price ? You’ve stated that so am comparing the prices you are willing to pay

    For reference

    Lincoln is £349 - £15.17 a game
Farsley Celtic is £9 a game

Theres a simple way of looking at this. If you want to renew, then renew. If not, then don't. There probably are various reasons as to why someone might not renew but who cares? I ain't particularly looking forward to it but it is what it is. Dirt cheap football in the khazi league. Thats your choice, take it or leave it.

Exactly, however I take issue with those who decide to take the p out of those that have, and lambast the club for not catering to their particular way in thinking. Anyway, he/she has put me on the ignore list, so happy days:)

I'm not quite sure why he keeps banging on about it. Its clear he doesn't enjoy going to Valley Parade so he chooses to go elsewhere. His own choice but it seems to come across as some sort of mini protest of one.

I think it is one of those situations where someone has fallen ‘out of love’ with something, but wants to justify their position, and is a little uncertain if they have actually done the right thing.

They then come back and repeatedly try and justify their actions by berating those who are still attracted to something they are uncertain about.

Frankly if the ‘divorce’ were absolute, they would have ‘moved on’ and not keep trying to build up the virtues of their new found ‘freedom’.

Probably need some form of post separation counselling or therapy!
